Jones and Smalling do have time on their side I totally agree. However neither have the capacity to develop into anything near the quality level that Agger has achieved. Now that's not just the opinion of a few biased LFC fans but the considered opinion of many commentators.
I don't rate Agger, I actually agree that he's a **** defender (still better than any Man Utd CB mind) and I've argued this point with Tobes who rates him. Feel free to keep making assumptions and a complete arse of yourself though pal
At the moment he's not 1st choice at Anfield and there's the rub. He's far better than Jones and Smalling and they're not only the best you've got but all you've got! So your defence is still pants and there's still a gaping black hole in the midfield - doesn't bode well! However, it was fun listening to the United supporters writing-off the season after just 1 game - classic!

Yeah exactly I'm sure that's exactly what LFC fans have been saying. Word for word. Well it's not really unlikely though, is it? When fit he was a class player, PL took its toll on him though and the man himself admitted that. Never reached what he could of with us considering his talent.
