Sole power has paid for a lot this year now it's time for him to pay for my holiday spending money! 6f not ideal but the way he runs it shouldn't be a problem
PRICEWISE for DAYO as Woolly is snoozing again! Redvers 1.55 Asc Big Thunder 3.15 Hay Gwafa 3.30 Asc Baccarat 3.50 Hay, Music Master 3.50 Hay
Haha cheers Stickwise - by the way Stick my mate is a QPR season ticket holder - u happy with Sandros ??
The Beast will make a huge difference mate. You know by the reaction of Spurs fans that its a great great deal by Arry!
In this day and age with big transfer prices - think personally even as a Liverpool fan that it is a cracking deal for the hoops. Nice easy game a week Sunday though !!
3.50 Haydock: PEARL SECRET 28/1 e.w This is a classy animal. Ted Barron said he knew this was something special quite early on, but the fierce pulling nature and injuries have stopped the progression intended. He thinks this horse is better when there is some give but he won on unfavoured good to firm last week and a flat 6f at Haydock on good ground should be absolutely fine for this horse. It gives the horse more time to settle and the slightly more even initial fractions might just get the horse to get into a rhythm. It is a very good test of Oisin Murphys ability and I think this fellow will pass with flying colours. To quote the comments from a few of his races: 'pushed along and ran on strongly, promising debut' 'soon in command, comfortable' 'ran on well' 'in command closing stages' 'not clear run, never on terms' 'ran on, not reach leaders' 'stayed on to press leader, just held' I think 6f might be the making of the horse and it gives the class the chance to shine through, similar to the likes of Dream Ahead from a couple of years back. Sole Power on stats alone should be taken on at 6f and taking that horse out, it is a very, very in and out race and 28/1 with Coral each way 4 places looks a really interesting bet for a Group race. He will need to settle, and Murphy will need to show some patience, but this is a really nice horse. I think last weeks run was a sharpener and the win shows its well being.
I'm following toppy tomorrow as well as PWISE / Stickwise / uncle as last weekend done about £150 on stupid footy bets including the 2 Manchesters / Arsenal and others - so need to recoup losses.
Have backed Sole power on all his wins this year but all were over 5f and have to desert him today for an e/w on Tropics.
Two i'm very keen on tomorrow are: 3:15 Haydock - Quest For More 8/1 3:30 Ascot - Satellite 11/1 In the big sprint i'll be on G Force at 9s
Sole Power will handle the 6F but Extorniost will nab him, will be good to watch, best jockey in england vs best jockey in ireland, SP is the form horse but Extorniost is due a big one, he will relish the step up to 6F, both will love the ground, Extorniost has the best draw. Tropics prefers 7F and starts to slow for 6, will make late headway and come 4th/5th, G force should get 3rd but it will probably be some big priced thing as always, probably Casper Netcher or hot streak / pearl secret
Morning All 3.15 Haydock Havana Cooler - Has improved with every run, thought he was very unlucky to get beaten at Glorious Goodwood by Van Percy who then went on and ran a cracking race to be runner up in the Ebor, Epsom Hill is a danger but the rise in weights might just stop him, a bigger threat to my selection might be Hassle who ran well over C&D last time and with a clearer run would have gone closer. With the Champion Jockey on board it's Havana Cooler that gets the nod for me. Cheers Trevez
Morning all Im going to be controversial Haydock 315 Havana cooler a lovely beast unfortunatly has no value whatsoever at 5/1 havana may prove me wrong and I'm willing to eat my hat ! HASSLE massive at 9s this race could all be about conserving energy for the finish and I have little doubt of hassle not being there towards the end , very ew friendly. the one that would concern me is quest for more so I am going to go for the rf as I feel the odds are not big enough for ron style betting.
Used to be these sprints were won by a different horse each time but some consistency has been achieved thanks to the achievements of flat trainer of the season Fast Eddie! Anything with Power in the name is cleaning up and today the great British public have another chance to see a horse with the best turn of foot we've seen here for many a year the incomparable legend that is Sole Power! Haven't had a bet on any yet but its surely between the 2 Irish horses isn't it? Will SP stay or will the globetrotter Gordon Lord Bryon come out on top against this field of glorified handicappers? Happy to cheer on either but I think Sole Power winning today would just be incredible training (4 Grade 1s in a row) and reconfirm Fast Eddie as the top trainer of sprinters around. But gun to head I think GLB will probably edge it.
Have you been watching The Hustler lately Beefy?...I'm sure Paul Newman would appreciate sharing fast Eddie with Eddie Lynam, two greats of their game. Would like to see Sole Power or GLB win as I think there the best two in the race but some solid contenders there to pickup the pieces should they misfire notably Extortionist who could be due his big day in the sun.
Morning All. Today's lucky 15. 2-40,Haydock Park.Emell. 3-15,Haydock Park.Nautilus. 3-30,Ascot.Gothic. 3-50,Haydock Park.Sole Power.(Nap) Good luck to all.
Anyone else think Maarek is way too big 33/1 I know he likes the ground like a bog but surely on best form he is up there
