It's a strong word but it's justified in Allam's case as lying is exactly what he has done. I agree those companies don't care, but they have to at least pretend to. If they spoke to their customers the way Allam has done they'd lose a lot of customers.
In theory if the club was worth 50 million before the signings and with the squad a 50 - 50 chance of relegation the club value could be lets say 80 million. Now we have added 20 million worth of assets the club is worth 70 million but now the chance of relegation is much less say 70 - 30 this makes the club value much more could be 110 or 120 million. This is speculation and a risky gamble, the prize is the premier league payments of ?? 60 or 70 million a year. Now before a game has even been played with the new players Assam Allam can mitigate his risk and sell now as the club value is more than what he invested. Its all about the potential income rather then the value of the assets. Hope that makes sense. SuitedandBooted put it simplest, you do your house up before selling it.

Please list the things I've blown out of proportion. I have no idea who might or might not buy the club, but that's none of my concern as I don't think Allam will be going anywhere. My point was about why it shouldn't be seen as taboo to dislike Allam or want him out. However, I can only think of a handful of owners as bad as Allam in the last few years, so I really don't think there's a risk that anyone coming in would be worse. You say there are errors but can't be bothered to point them out. I don't think there are any errors. I think you just like arguing but don't like doing it properly.
