I feel strongly about how unjustly they were treated and how some people still even now, despite our relevant league position, think we are better off without him. And I have been known to post on other topics.
You can't complain to much of GJ's tenure. Even his brother found us Basso and Marvin. The only thing I could 'knock' GJ for : Why couldn't he have had a daughter.
Listen, we all wish for the same thing, but we can't keep harking back to what might have been.. GJ did good things and some not so good things, successful humans always have personality trait faults, its par for the course. We share the same ambitions (even redprintt)
And Styvar and Saborio and Stern John and Trundle at £1 MILLION ? Yes GJ did a good job getting us promotion from League One but if he had got us even a half tidy striker in that first season up, we would have gone straight through to the Prem like Norwich and Saints have done since. The bully boy tactics do not work with better quality players. They just get up and leave. My comment on the first post after the start of this thread was not to stoke up a big debate but glad some have been able to vent their spleens. It was a rather a throw away line that if he leaves Yeovil, I do not ever want him anywhere near Ashton Gate again.
