I am surprised that anybody watched the match!! Having said that I suspect many more people on this and other boards watched a dire England team than bothered watching the excellent TEAM GB in the recent European Atheltics Championships. How could England improve? Change the awful white kit which conspires to makes England look totally passionless in favour of a red or a luminous pink one!!!
Roy Hodgson says criticism of England is "absolute f***** bollocks" - http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/sep/04/roy-hodgson-criticism-england-players-norway
"You can’t come in like Phil Jones after all the injuries and nail down a place in the central defence of Manchester United and become John Terry. You can’t be Jack Wilshere, who has lost all that football through injury, and all of a sudden be Bryan Robson." Well, don't play them then if they are not ready. I'd recorded the game and was about to watch it when my son came in and 'suggested' that I didn't want to. Time is precious at my age so don't want to waste it!
I'm thinking of selling my telly as I watch so little that is on it. The only reason I keep it is because I only have a short while to wait for my free TV licence.
How long ago was that injury? How long will he get before it becomes obvious that its not his injury that is the problem? Will Jay be straight in after his injury and be given a few years grace before form is assessed?
And perhaps to watch from time to time real British talent in the sporting world re- Mo Farah, Greg Rutherford, Adam Gemili, Emma Child, our female sprinters!! Shame we can't list anyone that is world class in football!!
