if you play for celtic its automatic call up gordons played about 4 games in 10 years soon as hes at celtic hes back in griffiths at celtic hes in, rhodes won't play, mcgregor whose played about 2 games will play instead rhodes is obviously best forward in the setup heaven to betsy why cairney doesn't get a call up,
It's deeper than that surely, I mean how do you explain the dearth of top quality Scottish players when you look back to how so many of the top English teams had big contingents of scots, I mean we seem to have the biggest number . Genuine question
a lot of the best scottish players usually ended up either through the academy or signed for celtic and rangers, but with both those clubs struggling, top quality scottish talent is going elsewhere, such as robertson british football across the board has been pretty woeful the last decade or so, england seem to have a good crop of younger players and the same for scotland and well wales
