[h=4]Conditions of a Verbal Agreement[/h]Under law there are two basic terms that constitute a binding agreement. The verbal agreement will be binding if there was an agreement on the services to be performed and an agreement was reached on remuneration for this service. This agreement can be reached by a verbal exchange in person, via telephone or via an email. There are certain contracts and agreements that must be made in writing and these will include the sale of property, tenancy agreements, copyright transfer, and contracts for consumer credit. In some cases, verbal agreements will not be upheld in court, not because of the lack of a written agreement but because the terms of the verbal agreement were not clarified.

Chris Hughton has thrown his hat into the ring in the bidding to become Leeds' new boss.

But it is understood Sir Alex Ferguson's former No 2 and ex-Real Madrid coach Carlos Queiroz is not in the running.

Hughton has applied for the post of head coach and has been out of work since being sacked by Norwich towards the end of last season.

Former Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray and ex-Portsmouth and Crystal Palace manager Paul Hart have also put themselves forward.

Paul Lambert's former No 2 Ian Culverhouse is another interested coach and he has been out of the game since leaving Aston Villa last season.

Leeds' owner Massimo Cellino has been knocked back by ex-boss Simon Grayson and Oscar Garcia, who opted to take over at Watford instead, while Steve Clarke's response has been lukewarm.

Culverhouse has got no chance after being sacked by Villa ... anyone with no Championship experience will be serious contenders

Wouldn't want any of Hughton, Mowbray or Culverhouse.

    Rather have Hockaday back
