That's because first round there is no justification as it's total guess work. You really think if me and Danilo were Mafia we'd be so obvious to both pick the same person all the time If I was Mafia I'd play it cool, post once and keep quiet and watch. I'd have me and the other mafia vote for 2 different people and hope other voted for them as well in order to not look suspicious

Can you prove that to me please, because round 1, you have 20% chance of killing one, if you do one vote, or if everyone votes for 1 person. What should have happened, is you pick someone from the start and everyone votes for them. If no one changes, you know that person is innocent, because the Mafia would be quite happy with that suggestion. If you've luckily picked the mafia person, they and 1 other would want to protect them, hence trying to change the votes.

The best case scenario you still only have a 20% chance of getting a mafia but your method allows massive internevntion by a mafia either suggesting the person or doing nothing in the 80% chance that an innocent is chosen. ONLY mafia have information in the first round therefore 1 vote per person and leaving it to a coinflip is the ONLY way the innocent people can guarantee a fair chance of getting a mafia. But if that's the case, then you know you've chosen an innocent as the Mafia wouldn't try and get anyone to change their vote. If however, you've stumbled across a Mafia, then they'd obviously want to try and get people to change their vote. 80% chance of chosing an innocent, and if you do, then you know and can therefor get everyone to alter to a different strategy last minute with a higher chance of getting a mafia as you've ruled out one innocent person already. Good morning all.... So surely the best way is doing what you guys were doing last night which is to engage in chatter and try and find something out before deciding on a system? I've been reading and chatting as time allowed and looking at lots and lots of vote changes. So far people are doing so much I haven't figured much out bar the fact that obviously astro thinks he knows both mafia names and that they are out to get him as a result, thing is more than 2 have voted for astro as a result of this attack so people don't buy the reason for attacking ibwt and danilo. I followed this system at the start and picked hash simply as he did the terrorist thread. However it seems not perfect as it does allow someone change and eliminate but that's so obvious. And my thing is there's as much chance kill off an investigator that we need as a mafia and far more chance kill an innocent? Greez seems to have lost all his votes cos he wasn't going mad he was voted for. Ibwt seems to be enjoying the banter and changed votes. I think ibwt's proposed system has flaws yes as if you know about the system and say you pick a mafia and we all vote but they hold fire then you would change to a new person and really as we get to night time we'd be back wondering What about danilo, astro seems certain but I didn't see on read back why he's picked him out? Which is innocent which is mafia? I think I will tally up the number of vote changes and to from who now as that might help
