I believe that 2014 will always be looked at as OUR year, the one were Hull City came of age. From April to September the sun seemed to shine on us just that little bit more and I am glad that my rose tinted glasses were up to the job.

Anyone who looks back at that period in time and doesn't smile must have something seriously wrong.

Each to their own but for me deadline day was one of the very best in our history, I'm surprised that you seem to have missed the relevance, surely your best days in relation to City are not only limited to those days that we have a day at Wembley, confirm promotion at Yeovil or the like. To sign up, all for at least a season, players of the quality that we did, and that would be valued at close on £50m in todays market, should be thought of as a VERY special day.

Still gutted about it however it is like losing our first FA Cup Final.

I still believe we will be back, both in Europe and at Wembley.

Any of us that marched from lokeren square to the ground will always remember that hour as the ultimate in supporting City.

No doubt it was excellent news, but it's not football is it? HCAFC is about football. Until they do something they're just a name. Like Bullard was when he signed. I'm sure these signings will bring us more enjoyable and memorable days on the pitch with their football, but them signing alone won't be particularly memorable in 20 years' time, whereas surely those Wembley trips will, as well as whatever further success we have between now and then.

I'd be interested to know (not being snobby) whether any of the people who don't mind being out of the EL so much were at Lokeren. Almost everyone I've spoken to about that trip who went seems to agree with me that it was one of the most enjoyable and proud moments supporting City. It's the disappointment of no having more days like that which is depressing for me.

PLT spot on that day culminating in the march was the culmination of 30 years supporting City. Monday night was great but it doesn't match our renditions of caravan of love et al. through the streets.

The Villa match showed we might have struggled if we go progressed with players being flat from the travelling

    ^^^^^^^ This ^^^^^^^^

    ^^^^^^ Not this ^^^^^^

It's all a part of football. Not being snobby, but do you remember signing Waggy? If you were there it was a great time to recall, if you wasn't . . .

I think most sensible posters admit to being gutted, disappointed, whatever at being knocked out, but move on, ffs! The players showed us at Aston Villa it had **** all to do with the managers selection and everything to do with their collective approach. I am amazed so many have written off a repeat of Wembley or Europe; why do the bother turning out?
