Artur Boruc visited Legia Warsaw today whilst on international duty, and an English version of their official Twitter account has posted the following. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image 'I've always said that I would like to come back to @LegiaWarszawa someday and nothing has changed about that.' 'I'll try my best if I get a chance to fight for the place in @SouthamptonFC squad. I haven't had it so far.' 'I'm not a @LegiaWarszawa icon. I'm just a supporter who plays football.' 'The ball's in Legia's court. Of course I'd like to play here again.' DTLW
Glad to still have him as a second choice keeper. He must be disappointed to be replaced, but the only thing he can do is train well and be ready if a chance arrives. It is a problem that happens to keepers sadly. Teams need a good 2nd keeper, but that person will possibly not get to play.
That motorcycle picture is just crying out for an "I'll be back" caption. Still not sure who is the best keeper at the mo', him or Forster. Guess it's about Forster being a bit younger really, better for the future.
We've seen the best & the worst of AB, but only a few games of FF so far, but I think the club have made a good call.....even though at the time I thought it a tad strange.
I hear Artur is a bit of a legend back home. As mental a Pole as ever you'd hope to meet (and most of em are a bit mental). It is right and fitting that the legend should end up at Legia. Not yet though, Artur. Stay and help us win the FA Cup.
tbh...I doubt a keeper like Forster would come to a club without a guarantee of being first choice with his England place at stake. This is, of course, the very reason why Boruc is unhappy. I suspect Koeman has made the right call.
Laura can smell a Boruc post from eight miles away! Hope this doesn't end as bad as last time.....I don't have a lawyer.
I suppose Artur just has to prove he's better than Forster and he'll get his place back. Tough being a second keeper but boruc knows the realities of football, and will either prove himself or stay until he gets a move. I've liked him since he's been at Saints, but I'd never consider him to be the best we could get, and I think Forster is an upgrade. You don't buy a new car, leave it in the garage and keep driving the old one.
Good to see he has an L tattoed on his right arm - so he knows which way to dive at penalties when some says "Artur he always shoots to the right so dive left!" or is it right? no left!
No, he won't. Unless he proves he's A LOT better which he'll probably not get the chance to do. Even if Forster gets hurt and Boruc actually plays in his stead, he still won't really be "first choice." He'll just be the emergency, temporary band-aid. His contract runs out at the end of this year, and we aren't going to re-sign him. His future at Saints has been decided and his career here is, for all intents and purposes, over. Which is why Koeman was fine with allowing him to go.
I have perfect solution to this oh so thorny problem... PLAY TWO GOALKEEPERS! I am a ****ing genius!!!!!!!
He's a seriously good looking bloke, but I'm married and he's a not too much of a rough nutter for me
