After all the in's and out's we came out £2.4M to the good http://talksport.com/football/revealed-2014-premier-league-spending-final-table-summer-transfer-window-140904111823?p=2 Money Spent on incoming players = £23.6m Money received for outgoing players = £26m. Bettered only by Southampton who've sold their soul and Chelsea who were restrained by fair play rules and restrictions We have a better squad than last year and made a profit of £2.4 getting it, happy days Its good to be a Jack
I like the new players brought in , but dont see a single player we will make a profit off of , for a change .
Fabianski cost £0 - I'm sure we could sell him for a profit if we wanted to Gomis cost £0 - ditto above Montero cost £4m - with his lightening speed, he could end up being highly sought after Fernandez cost £8m - Rojo cost Man Utd £16m. Fernandez is rated in some quarters a better player, so who knows
Agree. Not sure what roofjack is on today. Anyway, it's about building an awesome team not trying to buy and sell at profit. But nice if it happens.
Very odd considering Talktalk is Sky Sports, hence why they always promote package after every ad break.
The Guardian also has a small net outlay £1.5m http://www.theguardian.com/football...2/premier-league-clubs-transfer-window-grades As does the Mail £1.3m http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...umbers-All-stats-facts-figures-need-know.html
Every player over the last few seasons that has left , that we paid money for, pretty well covered the cost of the transfer and paid his own wages with the money recieved when they left... those days are behind us .Free transfers = big wages , and are susceptible to some hanging around if things going pear shaped and want to keep their high wages .
Pablo is the only one that tips the scale , did Vorm make more than 2 million while he was with us .. Poz was peanuts and we got a lot of minutes out of those peanuts , great value
Roof - in the "real" World, value and price can and often are different. You and I may value Vorm at say £2m - £4m but the club may have been happy to let him go for far less because he was going to be a well paid bench warmer for the next 2 seasons. As such, the club generated a saving equivalent to his wages.
The source for these figures used by talksh*t as fact is http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ and I don't know who the fekk they are and their site doesn't show transfers anywhere. Soz guys, after looking into this I now think these figures are dodgy at best and can't be trusted. I should have known better than to trust anything that comes out of that pathetic radio station as fact.
So I guess we payed about 15 million for Siggy then , all we can do is guess because Huw doesnt want anyone to know the details , shameful really .
