He's classed as homegrown apparently. Its not British, its homegrown


To be classed as homegrown, a player needs to have been trained by a English or Welsh club for three years between 18 and 21 years of age. Borini was at Chelsea from 2009 to 2011 and then Swansea for the 2011-12 season. Three years

the thing is he is down as being so and he was at chelsea as a kid so he might well be (perversely) categorized as HG.

 

i numbered as it had more utility to show 19 senior players....

So including U21s we easily meet and exceed the 8 home grown quota.

Suso, Flan, and Sterling will all count as home grown.

Yes but those three have not been registered at all as there is no need I believe all three have got three years training at a English or Welsh club (Flanno and Raheem certainly have) so they could in theory be counted as HG should we have needed them. they will all be HGs once the become over 21.

 

Flanno and Sterling will replace Johnson and Borini in the homegrown quota
