England

  1. Yep, my eldest two boys went back to school today so there was no chance I'd have been able to take them. Not that I would mind, three tickets plus travel, food, drink and accessories. Would be getting on for £300. then there is getting home late at night with two tired kids too.

If you only charge £30 a game it makes it look even more ridiculous when you charge £90 for a replica shirt

**** the fans, they have brand value to protect <ok>

  3. Same applies with the shirts though. 1m shirts at £90 or 10m at £40...?

PS...I have no idea what a realistic England shirt figure would be <laugh>

Is the game over now and it safe to come out of the garage now where I've been watching some fresh grouting on one wall set??

Wembley looked about a third full, at the most, from the one minute of the game I could stand to watch. I bet (and hope) that their revenue is down on ticket and shirt sales... it's all they deserve for the **** structure they've got in place and for the dog **** that regularly gets served up on the pitch. £90 for a shirt was not just unbelievable but pathetic and like another finger up to fans as well as the one that gets stuck up whenever the team play. Who would pay 90 for a ****ing shirt, I don't know anyone who bought it anyway.

I was half asleep watching it, but I heard the commentator say the crowd would look ok in one of the more compact stadia, but England are obliged to play at Wemberley for the foreseeable future to pay off the building costs.

Manager Roy Hodgson said: "We'll find it hard to bring attendances back because the opponents we're playing won't excite the public."

    <doh>

Good football teams still fill their stadia against minnows, it's England that are ****e and no one wants to watch

well it's like this; england are ****e, friendlies are not taken seriously.... but frankly if england announced they were off to dubai for their next friendly to play spain.... there'd be uproar here.

I think in general if you play a friendly then those buy buy tickets in are entitled to tickets to competitive game. maybe its a rip off that way but maybe not.

They should give the ****ers away. They'd still not get rid of them all.

  14. I wouldn't want one <laugh>

Surely the FA aren't too stupid to realise the dross being served up is the reason for the dying interest? Play good exciting football and people will become interested again!

Feel sorry for Sterling and Studge having to play in a very average England team. Rooney does not even deserve his place never mind be captain. He also plays in the spot where Sterling could do most damage. The Swiss could well tear us to pieces on Monday if Hodgson plays his usual safety first team.

  16. I think Woy is sucking the life out of the team TBH. Sure, its not the best crop of English players we've ever seen (picked a random competitive game and compare the players one by one) but it has its qualities, especially in attack. The England side lack style and confidence and the manager we currently have will never introduce those two qualities into any crop of players.

I never want my team to lose (as much as I dislike the England games at the minute and rarely watch them, they are still my nation) but getting hammered by the Swiss might not be a back thing. The qualifiers for the Euros has never been easier so taking a couple of bad results to get rid of such a negative draining manager won't be the end of the world, there would be plenty of recovery time. Would the FA chop him though? I doubt it. All they care about is money and they're too stupid to realise Woy's approach is costing them millions!

From what I saw last night, they were ****e, particularly Rooney. He still comes out of it with a goal as well <doh>

Of course he doesn't, the fat **** did absolutely nothing all game except give the ball away and ruin every attack. England looked so much better when he waddled off it isn't even funny how ****ing blind the FA are.

England is not a football team it is a Wayne Rooney promotional event and we need to pull our players out.

That fat **** needs a rest once he's knocked in a penalty (which was pretty much the only time he wasn't offside all game), meanwhile Henderson plays 90+ minutes, Sterling plays 90+ minutes, Sturridge plays 89 minutes and is subbed for Lambert

    **** off Roy
