I have to agree - Hence my mention on another string about 1995 in the bottom league and 2010 in Hamburg, allowing 2 years earlier thanks to Morgs/Adams - a sort of "Keep The Faith" through to "Stand Up In You Still Believe" - and yes, the hairs still stand up when I think of Juve and Hamburg at home, so Thanks Mo!

Good luck to him. We got him after he had passed his peak, but I felt that he got a lot of unwarranted stick. He wasn't the goalscorer we were all hoping for (and that the club paid so much for), but he worked hard and made intelligent runs. He did everything you could ask from a striker except score bucketloads of goals - admittedly, that's not an insignificant factor - and stay fit. The latter was hardly his fault.
When he wasn't injured, he had a good partnership with Zamora, he was more of the assistant than the scorer, but they didn't play that often together because most of the time one of them was injured.
Oooops! In their first NFL game the Jaguars were 17-0 up at half time but lost 34-17. please log in to view this image Match Stats: http://www.jaguars.com/gameday/game/2014/regular1
Agreed, Capt. I never thought he deserved all the criticism he received; same thing with BZ. I remember doing the math a few years ago when people were b#%$%$ about his output; the bottom line was that minute for minute, AJ got more goals for us than any player since McBride. And you never saw AJ give less than his all, in contrast to my namesake, who'd switch off for large parts of non-competitive games. So best of luck to AJ. I hope he gets a dozen goals before CP are relegated.
Wondered where the QPR and FFP saga had gone. However it's reared it's 'ugly' head again - "The Football League has confirmed QPR could be consigned to the Conference in the event of relegation from the top flight if they refuse to pay a huge fine incurred under its financial fair play rules. QPR are expected to face a fine of up to £40m when they reveal their financial results later this year, covering the season they spent in the Championship following relegation from the Premier League. The club posted record pre-tax losses of £65.4m for the year ending May 2013, when they were relegated from the Premier League. The losses for the last financial year, expected to be made public in December, are also expected to be sizeable. The QPR chairman Tony Fernandes has vowed to fight any fine imposed by the Football League, which would have to go to charity rather than the other clubs under an agreement with the Premier League over its solidarity payments." Thankfully, for the right reasons or otherwise, we seem to have side-stepped this one.
Out in Espana at the moment so taking the opportunity to go to the Rosaleda to watch Malaga take on Levante. Kicks off at six so will know the Fulham result by then which will determine if I go in a good mood or not.
Not so much with the good mood then. I hope your Spanish match gives you something to be positive about, Fulhaman.
The day just got better and better A dull 0 - 0 draw. All I need tonight is for Sevilla to lose and I can claim the hat-trick.
I think this needs mentioning; reports from Greece say our man Georgie Kara is retiring from football. What a legend.
Not sure he was here long enough to be a 'legend' but know what, he was! please log in to view this image
Whether or not he was here long enough to be a Fulham legend, his career as a whole warrants the label. When Greece won the Euros, he played a part in one of the biggest upsets of modern international football. It's a shame we couldn't have squeezed another season out of him, particularly after the less-than-subtle hints he dropped once Magath left. And whether he's a Fulham legend or not, I suspect he'll always be fondly remembered and welcomed back at the Cottage when he drops in. Quite right too.
Yeah, Captain gets me. He won't be mentioned in the same breath as Johnny Haynes and the like (nor should he, I hasten to add), more of a cult figure in my opinion. He was definitely the sort of player his fans loved, but the opposition's fans hated. To have so much drive and enthusiasm at that age is something to admire.
Didn't take long ... well done him .. "Greece legend Giorgos Karagounis has been awarded a role as part of new national team coach Claudio Ranieri's staff. The former Panathinaikos, Inter and Fulham midfielder is his country's record cap-holder with 139 career appearances. Karagounis announced his retirement from international duty following the World Cup in Brazil earlier this year. However, he will now make his return to the fold, having been awarded a two-year contract by the Hellenic Football Federation" Source: http://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/karagounis-work-greece-boss-ranieri#KWGo5iEIHSxvPloA.99
