I got it all a bit arse over tit today, had a pork roll and a tandoori chicken wrap (left over barbecue meats) for breakfast, which should have been my dinner, so had power porridge for dinner instead. Burgers for tea!!
Did my first BBQ tonight. Was very good. Reggae reggae marinated chicken. Bought a BBQ rub for the belly pork & pork shoulder steaks. Cumberland sausage. Potato salad and coleslaw. Lovely.
What the **** are people having for dinner tonight? Made a chilli last night which was rather good. Need inspiration for this evening main event..
Don't know. Had a lasagne last night that she made and, got to say, it was bloody good. She's not half bad when it comes to cooking sometimes. Had the leftovers with salad for dinner today. I think I might treat myself to a beer tonight.
You in portishead ? I have the urge to fire the BBQ up. But probably won't be arsed. Need to so my garden tonight as have viewings tomoro.
This one is perfect for the colder nights, dead easy to make & ready in 1/2 hour 1 clove garlic finely chopped 1 onion (can also use chalottes or red onion) 4 rashers bacon (sliced into strips) red & green peppers sliced ( can also use leeks or other veg depending on your favourites) 4 large mushrooms sliced 8 cherry tomatoes quartered 500g carton of passata small tin tuna pasta ( any suitable except spaghetti) basil & oregano Heat a small portion of oil in a wok, and when hot add the garlic & onion. let it brown slightly & add the bacon, followed by the mushrooms & then the peppers. In another pan boil the pasta till cooked add the tomatoes and the passata, turn down the heat & simmer gently Add the basil & oregano, drain the pasta, and stir in the pasta & tuna Allow to cook gently for 10 mins & serve. Works just as well with chicken, or corned beef instead of the bacon.
This weekend we had a hog-roast at a party for my step-dad's 60th birthday. It was amazing! Succulent and just fell off the bone. The crackling was cracking, too. Now we have 13 lbs of spare pork to eat for the next few weeks (hog was initially c. 45-55kg). Plenty of curries and pork, stuffing and apple sauce butties. Tonight I made a bolognese over a bed of farfalle and radiatori. Mmm. It wasn't worth the 3rd degree burns i received, though.
Eh? But what the **** have you made for dinner? I made venison meatballs in a tomato, onion and leek ragu. With brown pasta.
I had a Big Baguette filled with Butter and Ham. Then Crackers and Prawn Primula, followed By Hagen Daz. Proper heathen me. So are you from Portishead?
No chief is working there overseeing the building a lifeboat launch or something a couple of days a week.
Its a great place, Carol Vorderman lives nearby and Side Show Bob fathered an illegitmate child. Got a lot going for it.
Not just Vorderman I'll have you know. Johnny Briggs, aka Mike Baldwin, regularly walks through site to the nearby pub and Bobby Gould jogs past every day. As does some ex footballer who I recognise but can't name, other than he's called Gary, who used to play for Saints and Coventry, stands and watches all day, every day. Chats to my workforce, who should be ****ing working. He lives on a boat AND has a flat on a Marina. Drives a big Merc. Even nobody footballers earn too much. And last, but by no means least, is my good self. Famous for my 30 second appearance interviewed on Points West. Oh yes. You live there Brynner?
I live in Clevedon, a few of my family have places and boats down on the marina and I pop across for a walk or a pizza from time to time. Its a nice little area to live, Lots of green everywhere, Bristol just down the road and the coast. (Just a shame the water is browner than the sand)
