What do you reckon England could do to heighten interest in the national side?

I think Stones is very good and while I like Clyne I think positionally he can be suspect. However, I think at left back the inclusion of Danny Rose concerns me more, as does Rooney on the left if we play him there :s.

England football should try and push the pride button, first of all by making the players proud to represent their country rather than seeing it as an interruption of their celebrity lifestyles. If that means picking unfashionable players and not being so media friendly then so be it, but we need a squad who are playing for pride.

I also think the FA should make it harder for players to drop out "injured" if they don't fancy a cold wet friendly against some minnows, cos we deserve to be able to watch them, whether or not they want to play.

they could start by reducing prices at Wembley, and then pick players who have an obvious pride in putting on the shirt e.g. Sir Rickie Lambert. Players who will play with pride, and not play to avoid an injury before their next Champions League fixture.

England suck due to playing players out of position along with hodgsons ancient tactics. Things won't change until we get a modern coaching set up in along with a forward thinking FA.

I've ended up watching. All I want is a goal from Vegard Forren.

However, in this formation with marauding full-backs Clyne may have been more suitable.

He's not got worse, but he doesn't seem to have got significantly better.

If anyone wants to know about continuity in football, just ask The FA. Drab and dire rubbish served up, as per.
