It's fun having a pop at Shaw at the moment but he'll be a top player in years to come.

He's already been voted the best player in his position in the PL. Suggests he's a top player already!

But that doesnt apply to Lallana (who I dont think is the top player in his position in the league) in the signing of the season thread further down your page, struggling to understand your reasoning

    Id go with

    De Gea

    Rafael, Jones, Evans, Shaw

    Valencia, Carrick, Herrara, Di Maria

    Mata

    Falcao

Which makes a bit on sense as players are in their actual position but some are trying to fit RVP and Rooney in there along with Rojo and coming out with all sorts of strange formations.

    Thats ridiculous.....beyond ridiculous in fact.
The kids good, especially for an 18 year old, and may well one day be the best left back in England.......but now? noooooooooo

Exactly it's about fielding the best team, not the best 11 players. RVP and Rooney haven't looked great so far this season, so I think they deserve to be on the bench for the QPR game, now that we have Falcao. Valencia is obviously a weakness on the right, but it's either him or Young, and there both pretty ****e tbh

Fair point. I personally don't think Lallana is that special but at 26 he is probably at his peak.

  17. Completely agree. Its a bit like England during the "Golden Generation"; plenty of talented players but playing them all gives inbalance and not much of a team. It'll be interesting to see what LVG does <ok>

  18. Do you rate Lallana as high then...?

Gerrard and Studge were also part of that team :)

I've answered the question re Lallana. I think Sturridge definitely deserved his place. Doesn't Gerrard get picked automatically each season?
