What United have spent is money generated from the football club, as well as financing the GG's debt & trouser money. Same applies to Arsenal ,Spurs,Everton & Liverpool. Citeh rely on the Arabs to bail them out, and Chelski rely on the Russian mafia's roubles. In both City and Chelski's case, that huge wad of money could just have changed the fortune of Everton, Spurs, Newcastle or even West Ham. All of those clubs had a far better pedigree and fan base than City or Chelsea. In fact both are on a par with West Ham as being yo yo clubs prior to the foreign input of cash. So please, no more crap about "buying" the prem, United use their own finances, which is why we don't have any problems with FFP. Not quiet the case with City and Chelsea
So when Real, Barca and Bayern generate their own income and spend £150m, they say 'We should be able to challenge for top four." £150m should = trophies. Not excuses
It did. 11 trophies. And will. Thank you Roman £400m squad should certainly = more than fourth place. Good that you consider Chelsea your peers though and compare United to us. I thought your peers were Barca Bayern Real
I think the difference between United and likes of LFC, AFC, Chelsea and City is the manager. LVG havent managed a club for 5 years now? And he has never coached in England before where football is different and his 3-5-2 formation is not working, even against Burnley and Swansea. For that reason, I think we will have the same Top 4 as last season until United spends another £150m and LVG will have 1 year under his belt in the EPL. Also btw, do you think LVG will get sacked if doesnt finish Top 4 this season?
LVG usually does well initially and then his success tails off. But that's the United way these days. LVG is a bit of a one season wonder
Pellegrini hadn't managed in England before last season and he won the title in his first season. So did Mourinho and Ancelotti. This arrogant belief that English football is somehow completely alien to anything else that goes on in the world is a load of bollocks. Why the **** do clubs keep bringing in foreign players and managers if they aren't going to be able to adapt??!! It would be just as easy to say that Rodgers is the weakest link as he's won the sum total of **** all in his career! Not that I think United are going to win the title. No chance.
I can see only you making excuses. Btw what is your excuse for 1 in 8? Horrific record considering the spending.
It's usually more like 2-3 seasons. You know, like his pet, Mourinho (who is already in year 2, who has Roman got lined up next, AVB?).
However before the managers moved, they were winning trophy at club level. LVG was manager of Holland playing a managing a tournament every 2 years.
Embarrassing. To have had all that financial clout for several years when no other club in England could come close to competing on a financial level. And it was poor, debt ridden United who kept winning titles. Small club in Fulham.
Yeh, I'm sure those 2 years as manager of Holland have had a serious impact on his ability to manage a football club as up until 3 years ago he'd only been doing it for 20 years!
He was in the 1/4 of the Champion League, with Malaga. Impressive considering United didnt even qualify for the CL last year
So the same round as moyes. Moyes didnt have sugar daddy funding him though... Pellegrini cant work without one. Massively overrated. Utter failure at madrid too.
LOL? How old are you? Your opinion is invalidated right there. Not that it was ever remotely valid, prick.
So, he won the 1/4 final of the champions league trophy? Is this up there with the top at Christmas trophy or is it not as prestigious?
I tend to use lol as a lazy alternative to the laugh smiley. I think his incorrect information invalidates his opinion.
