I think the Utd players and fans did stand by David Moyes. You can stand next to someone who is standing on the trapdoor of a gallows. They are still standing by him now ... but he's swaying by his neck in the wind, after dancing the hemp fandango, the sisal two-step!
New Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal said his players' confidence would be "smashed" after the worst possible start to his reign at Old Trafford
It's not the worst possible start. The worst possible start would be Rooney, and RVP both getting season-long injuries. De Gea getting a red card and subsequently banned for 6 months for picking his nose and flicking it at the ref, and then losing 0-10. The United players rioting, and being kicked out of the premier league for the season as a result. All things said, they had a damn good start comparatively to the worst possible start!
"He was exceptional, but I had to laugh when he drbbled like Ricky Villa and finished Like Ricky Gervais" Brendan Rodgers
Well.... The optimist in me says this can all still happen and I hope on sept 2nd A training ground clash between RvP and Romney leaving both men with knee injuries would be a good start
All that work, she looks plastic these days, she used to have curves, now she's all flat and smooth and no expression. I'd take her back, but it would be charity on my behalf.
Have they actually looked at their defence and midfield, seems the blindness for these areas has spread to their fans now. No matter what Man U fans say, to me Di Maria is an attacker. The modern winger does not play in a 442 formation in the same way they used to, they play off the strikers in between the Central forwards and Central midfielders. It would be like saying Bale is a Midfielder cause he plays as a winger. Its the same with Sterling really, technically he's a winger or an ACM. But modern formations mean they play more as forwards helping the main strikers. On Paper their attack looks great but really look at it. RVP: Crocked half the time and starting to look it might be the end Rooney: Fat and overrated, nobody seems sure where he should actually play. Mata: Lazy, great in possession but offers nothing when being attacked. Its the reason Chavs were so willing to sell and they don't seem to be missing him Di Maria: Will run around a lot but will also give the ball away a lot. Falcao: Who knows just been injured for a long time, seems to be all about money to him. Jizzy: Young, very young. Overall it looks good, but getting them all to work together and figuring out how to use them is going to be difficult. Not to mention the questions over some of them.
Man Utd's defence is so amazingly bad it's like an episode of The Twilight Zone where everyone is in denial, hello wake up you're playing Jonny ****ing Evans as your main CB!
Look being nice we shoudl say they have an awesome fornt 3 and leave it at that but have to continue to point out that a front 3 with no MD and DF = barca over the past two years and this aint a two horse show. the REAL questions utd have to answer involve 3 signings, herrera, blind and rojo and if they prove top signigs utd will improve if they don't and the same bad defense exists then they are in toruble. right now there loo kto be two cl slots up for grabs. Arsenal's perennial one for 4th AND our single season possession. Now the reality is this is a race to 75/76 points so which club is not capable of reaching that number is the question, its not head to head is it? no its who will beat the muck in the lower half better. Frankly arsenal can be awesome and then can be muck too. If they have a secure defense and play with pace and precision they can race to the top of the prem up to feb then fall apart Us, well we have several well known questions that surround us we are as capabale of 80 points as we are 60. thats the truth. Are utd capable of getting 76points based on their line up and focus on just the league... yes BUT... LvG needs to find a system and not persist with 5-3-2, they need to sort the defense out AND ideally for them the new fornt two need to fire in every one of next 5 games to run the invincibility/there for the taking focus around
"Myself and the players genuinely believe we can stay up. Four or five weeks ago I thought we had no chance, but then the transfer window opened, we brought five players in and we look a different side." After their 1-0 win at Spurs, Southampton boss Harry Redknapp is not worried about admitting to the Saints players that were there when he arrived that he thinks they're rubbish
