There's no such thing as Liverpool fans on this forum they are all Man Utd fans as that's all they all keep banging on about Man Utd!

How many times have you read abt them moaning that other teams fans are singing abt slippy me etc and that they think that other teams fans count their hate for Liverpool first before their support for their own team Just look at their forum...

Liverpool linked with Valdes who is without a club. This will sound a bit like a Liverpool fan talking about a United transfer target but I genuinely don't rate him! I've always considered him to be one of the luckiest people in football. An average keeper, prone to dropping a clanger and who can not hold onto a cross, who played for a fantastic team that won everything! A lot of the Scousers don't rate Mignolet for some reason but he's always looked competent on the few occasions I've seen him play. I'd certainly want him in my team ahead of Valdes.

It's probably just paper talk as they've got months to fill before the January transfer window gossip kicks in although we're already being linked to a £25million deal for Strootman!

 

He'll be good back up to Mingolet.

 

If he's prepared to be back up to Mignolet then he wouldn't be a bad reserve keeper but he'd have to arrive knowing that he's the understudy as he's not as good as Mignolet!

 

I know it seems a strange move, is he ready to be back up? I wouldn't have thought so and is Mingolet ready to step back for a more experienced keeper? I doubt that as well.

Imo that sounds just like Mignolet. Other than the bit about winning everything of course

Can only assume if Liverpool go for him it's because they aren't happy with Mignolet, and want to put genuine pressure on him. No point signing a backup, and they either don't want or can't get a better keeper, but signing someone of a similar level may push Mignolet to up his game, or may do the same for Valdes and make him first choice.

It would be an odd one if they were paying for him, but if they do a free transfer with pay as you play elements then it makes some sense.

In this crazy world we live in, someone you've never heard of or will probably never meet, feels, as a Liverpool fan, that its ok to write to you on an internet page to say welcome. But here I am, and there you are, somewhere, preparing for the Spurs game today.

I've read about your upbringing, it must be very odd to have your everyday shared with millions, your history available for analysis and comment by strangers, and then to be called 'crazy' by these people who haven't a clue.
