Having just watched the video of this young talent from South America I think he could prove to be a better signing than Welbeck he has pace awareness and can do something that Welbeck can't do he can HEAD a ball!
Welbeck .Am I the only one who doesn't rate Welbeck I think the media have hyped him up to much scoring once every 4 games for an attack minded side does not instill confidence in me no give me Montenegro !
    I wish him well
The other thing that pleases me is that the majority of signings and loanees have been under 21 they can only hopefully get better.I have been preaching this for years how did we get the great Leeds team Revie put 6 youngsters in against Swansea and never looked back

Wellbeck is basically like Beckford was. He has pace and some talent, but will miss more than he scores. He certainly isn't international class and Man U must be laughing their socks off at getting £16m from Arsenal.

The filth that is West Ham fans think Montenegro is the worsed player to have played for them in the last 20 years.
Can't pass, can't tackle, always offside and does very little.
He should fit in well then <ok>

Is this the same player that has been capped by England and the Arse has shelled 16 million on him, i have always thought that the Frenchman was a little eccentric, i now know he is off his head <yikes>

Did your Wet Sham chums mention that he was 18 when with them & never actually played? not the easiest basis from which to make an assessment, is it?

No they didn't mention that - in fact, they told me a story of a trip up to Sheff Weds to see them lose in the FA cup, and Montenegro was so bad that the Weds fans were taking the piss ever time the ball went near him - must be a different Brian Montenegro if he didn't ever play for them <ok>

I stand corrected - he played a full 12 minutes for Wet Sham. I stand by what I said. good attempt at obfuscation.

Bit like us letting David Seaman go. Lots examples of excellent players being let go prematurely!

Good point that Jock, did we get 10,000 for him and did he join Peterboro...can't be arsed to google it..:D

Just googled it, I was partly right.

    Early career[edit]
Seaman was born in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. He attended Kimberworth Comprehensive School.[9] He began his career at Leeds United, the club he supported as a boy. However (much to his disappointment), he was not wanted by then-manager Eddie Gray, who had been his favourite player. Seaman went to Division 4 club Peterborough United for a £4,000 fee in August 1982, where he began to make a name for himself.

Shako as far as I remember Seaman was sold by Allan Clarke to his former assistant at Leeds who has just become manager for £1000 I believe his name was Martin Wilkinson but my memory may be not what it was !I don't think!
