Positives: We're not Leeds Big Sam isn't manager We probably won't get relegated We can't get trebled by West Ham this year
Lots of positives, Kane will step up, Naughton will be in the reserves, Fozi bear is 6 ft 5, Joes not getting any younger, Sainsbury's has a lot of good offers, Townsend will hit the target, Eriksen has had a transplant .
We don't have AVB or Sherwood. Dier looks like he could be bargain of the summer. Fazio can't be any worse than Kaboul's recent form. Don't have too many injuries (long may that continue!). We're financially stable.
Is the Eriksen transplant that he had all his talent from last season transplanted out? I'm not sure which target Townsend is gonna hit. Is it a 1-goal a season target (which he has already got thanks to a pen)? Kane is the best thing so far this season. Closely followed by Lamela
Yes I think it is time for one of Levy's letters. If this all results in Spurs being able to fund the new stadium in their stride then I think all will be forgiven, if on the other hand this is just profits for Enic then let the unrest begin.
ENIC have given us our best series of league finishes since the 60s. Short of discovering a crock of gold under the pitch I'm not sure what else you expect them to do....
Spot on, if in 3 years we're still in the top half with a funded stadium either built or being built then i'd say well done.
Profits for ENIC !!?? Oh dear oh dear, someone does not read the financial info (on the OS or given here) .
I'm not sure what everyone is disappointed about. None of the world's best players in any position is likely to want to join us so we have to improve by buying potential and hoping we get Bale rather than Walcott. Our signings are consistent with that. We've got good cover in all positions in a well balanced squad which is quite capable of beating everyone in the bottom two thirds of the table. If we can do that routinely and Poch can get a few results against our real competitors we've got a chance of top 4 or winning the Europa.
Pay enough and anyone will join you. You're a more compelling project than United imho (who I feel will sack LVG by the end of the season) and they managed to sign Di Maria and Falcao, without ANY European footie.
"I know i don't, i have better things to do." Are you one of those who go : ENIC profits blah blah blah ... ?? If so, then try finding out the reality before blabbing on about it. If not, nothing for you to see here.
"I'm not sure what everyone is disappointed about." The forward options are a concern, Adebayor is already pencilled in for a month out at the AFCON. One of Soldado or Kane have to be scoring consistently in the PL by then.
The huge profit will come with the eventual sale of the club. A no risks financial policy with a stadium built/ planned over a decade will reap huge rewards for the owners but at the sacrifice of challenging for silverware. In the meantime a chairman payed arguably the largest salary in the country to steer through years of footballing mediocrity . Sounds like it's going to be fun.
I think there's more of an expectation that United will be back in the top 4 and challenging for trophies sooner or later but as you say it's hugely to do with money and United's revenue dwarfs our own.
I think it was me who referred to Enic profits RDBD. I have seen no evidence that Enic have NOT made profits. Falls in revenue does not necessarily mean lower profits, these can be disguised in all sorts of ways.
I'm not as far as i know. But i would like to know, without doing any work myself and with someone putting it in pigeon financial speak for me
We have the January transfer window before then. Mediocrity? That's a bit overdramatic isn't it. To the people complaining, who should we have got in? There's no point us just spending for the sake of it so what names did people want us to chase?
Him say heap biggish monies to go Bahamas soon. I looking for the big man to play up the front and scoring plenty goals.
