I am kind of surprised why everyone is going mental today about our lack of desire to even attempt to salvage our top flight league status.

It's was always going to end like this, people are harping on about pardew being sacked but this will never happen as he is the ideal yes man for the fat controller.

The biggest indicator on how poor the club is now is I actually don't care anymore and any ounce of Belief that the club will changes their ways has left now gone.

So what happens next.... It's simple really we go down faster than the titanic and the fans will continue to go week in week out to be made to look a joke.

So the last thing left to is go down to the bookies and put a shead load of money on our demise

It's time to go backwards so that if we finish 10th again after a relegation battle we will think we are being ambitious.

Ashley and pardew are an evil and it could be many years before it goes back to once it came.

I think the surprising and perplexing thing about NUFC is really the contradictory way in which it operates.

What do we know for sure?

    1) We know the extent of Ashley's footballing ambition is keeping NUFC in the Premier League, for business and commercial reasons (advertising).

HOWEVER – the guy persists in taking bizarre risks with PL status by consistently rendering a squad too understocked for survival.

    2) We know the club has the will, desire and ruthless efficiency to make the signings it clearly WANTS to make for whatever agenda motivating those signings.

HOWEVER – despite putting that good work in, it is undermined again by shrinking an already thin squad and frankly not buying in the areas most required.

I could go on, but you get the idea. What I struggle with is the rational behind doing anything the fans perceive as being positive at all any more?
With so much seemingly done to dash the hopes of the fans at every turn, seemingly in the most deliberately cruel way, why are we signing anyone?

The confusion is compounded as I say when you do just enough positive, sensible business to spark optimism and then hijack it all with shortsighted idiocy.

If or when the club goes down it'll only be down to Ashley to bail out his investment and start again – so why take the risk for the sake of a few million we can easily afford?

It's as baffling as Pardews choice to alleviate himself of any shred of self decency and respect as not only a human being, but a football manager by continuing to be the Fat Controller's arse puppet !

You guys are such a bunch of debbie downers. It's been 3 games, we only lost to the champions.

At least give our players 10 games before you decide we're relegated.

No offense my friend, but we can all see the writing on the wall. Just like we can all see that Chelsea are going to be the team to beat this year and that Man City are nailed on for a Champions League place, we can also see the teams that are going to struggle to stay up. We are one of those teams!! Take off those rose tinted glasses and smell the ****ty scented coffee!! We are in deep S**te!!!

Ive just listened to an article on the radio about how the Premier League is everything and the place to be to make pots of money yet for an owner to whom money is obviously his number one priority its strange that he wont make sure of staying up by investing properly. We may stay up, or we may get relegated, but he's certainly taking a big risk and if we do go down he's not going to get much exposure to all his SD signs from TV coverage in the Championship - especially some of the overseas countries he's trying to break into.
The massive Sky TV money would go, gate receipts would be down, merchandising would be down, advertising (such as it is) would be down.
He would lose out all round !
I know he could review the situation in the January window but it might be too little too late by then.
Can't he see that.... or am I missing something.. ? I certainly dont understand his thinking.... but maybe thats why he's a billionaire !

He's making millions every year he doesn't care if we go down we unlike other clubs arse set up to survive it.

That's all fine but support this club is totally pointless and fruitless I mean just what are we cheering for what are our aims as a fan base?

The expectations are to win nothing and simply exist all this five year bus hit irritates me it's just a way of providing false ambition.

We are exactly right now a working plan with no intentions to do anything to reward the customers.

    Pretty sound analysis.

There is certainly a good chance that there are three teams worse than us, and a decent chance that matters could be fixed in January if we are in the relegation zone at that point. There is also a very real risk that we will be one of the three worst teams and that it will not be possible to fix things in January.

Given the cost of safety (Nastisic on loan would have greatly swung the odds in our favour) the risks do not seem sensible, leaving aside any sense that it might be nice to actually succeed at something, or at least give it a bit of a go.

This is not correct. We are only profitable in the Prem. Loss of the Sky TV money would be the only thing Ashley does care about.

We've been through a pile of ****e since that fat **** took over so I think we can be forgiven for not looking on the bright side of things....at least for the short term.

For once it looked as if things were starting to turn with us doing a bit of transfer business early on in the summer but as has been pointed out on numerous threads on here the hard facts are that our squad started the season weaker than we finished last. Now throw in the fact that we've lost HBA and M'Biwa things start to look that little bit more depressing.

I will support the club till the day I die and the players that take the field, but I refuse to get behind a manager who has no self respect for himself and has now made myself...and probably a lot of other people want things to get a **** load more worse....in the hope that it may lead to something happening.

The scariest part in all this is who we could possibly attract as a replacement for Pardew.

Sick to ****. What makes it worse is that I've gotta stay up until ****ing daft o clock in the morning just to watch the shower of ****e that is being served up to us due to my blind faith.

It's never dull like is it ?

U all behaved like starving etheopians when we signed a few average players and overlooked the quality we were letting go as usual.

Despite previous knowledge you expected any more???

I think last season and the season before it have shown me that the club is being set up to work to one of two models.

Model 1 - we blitz the first half of the season to the point where we can sell a player or two without bringing anyone in, make a profit and still stay in the league.

Model 2 - we have a ****e start to the season so the club bring in a few new faces to tide us over till the season ends and keep us in the league. The following season will likely be followed by that of model 1.....and then the circle starts all over again.

    Twatting bollocks it is.!

Yes agree - can see that pattern.
My point was that its a dangerous game sailing so close to the wind like he is doing. By January we might be too far back to rescue the position and especially if the other clubs around us do the same - you know... the clubs with ambition who realise what Sky TV money is worth...
As someone else said - money apart, it would just be nice to follow a club that wanted to win... it is sport after all !

You'd think that you would always opt for model 1.

If things go swimmingly, you can always cash in in January. if things hit a rocky patch you might have to postpone cashing in but at least you will survive
