Sunderland somehow stayed up, Poyet signed a new deal, Mannone did the same, Rodwell & Gomez on permanent deals, Vergini back, excellent 2nd keeper arrived, we signed a permanent left back, we loaned a much needed centre back and brought in Alvarez who looks perfect for Poyet's plan, Wickham wasn't sold off cheap, plodders like Colback, Bardsley & Gardner have gone.

Apart from that it's been a f**ing nightmare.

Yeah stuff will still be being announced tomorrow morning.

I think we've utterly ****ed the window and I don't like the look of our squad. Work needs to be done in January.

Tells me that Poyet was happy with the nucleus of the squad and embellished it with players suited to his style. Coulde be another hit and miss season, but hopefully nowhere near the close call we had in the last one. No matter how enjoyable it was.

We're already well ahead of our points haul at this stage of last season <laugh>

We still have 3 strikers who scored F all last season and have started this season in the same way....god I hope Gus has signed a striker and it's still to be unveiled. I don't see where the goals are going to come from.

Jozy had a mare but improved his overall play in the last couple of months; Fletcher was never fit all season and went backwards but hasn't lost his ability in that time and Wickham didn't get a look in until the last 10 games and scored 5 major goals that kept us up.

I think all 3 can and will contribute this season.

I think you have more faith in them than I do....but I hope your right, I just haven't seen it in any of our games this season so far.

We could have signed Messi and it would still have been ****.
    Far too long !
Far too many nonentities linked with us!
Why the hell they need so long is beyond me.
Especially when they all leave it till the last couple of days or even last day to do business.
    The whole thing stinks.

Oh, and how come I can understand Rene Mulensteen, yet I needed subtitles for Neil Lennon? :p

I'm not on the anti Fletcher bandwagon as yet, I still think he can do his job and do it well.
We just need Larsson out of the way so forward passes can get to him.
Our forwards are feeding off scraps.
IF Fletchers excellent effort hadn't been saved so well by Green, that game may have been a hell of a lot different with our 60% possession.

I have seen nothing about Altidore that has changed my opinion of him, from the first time he played for us.
    He just isn't good enough.

We've done some great deals, but I can't help but feel, as usual, we have left it unfinished.

We never, ever seem to learn, hence perennial relegation battles.

Still, confident we'll be alright this year.

    Let's look at it logically

    --------Wickham----------
    AJ-------Alvarez------Giacc
    ------Catts---Rodwell------
    PVA----Wes---JOS---Jones
    ---------Vito--------------

Seb, Fletch, Gomez, Coates, Pantimillion, Mavrias, Vergini, Jozy.....

It doesn't look too bad for me, looks like about 12th.

there's a lot of creativity there, but no finisher.

I just don't understand why every deal has to drag out mate.
    It's ridiculous.
If a player is available make an offer, if it's turned down move on.

We seem to do it on a regular basis, hang on hang on hang on, and nowt changes.
