Burnley played well, they did enough other than finishing to get a point, as we were really poor second half. And of those 10 teams, we are 1 of them. Some we will win, some we will lose.

Are you sitting here complaining at those who haven't been all cheerful, and are looking at the positives and negative? No, then I am not talking about you. You have instead not joined in the discussion of those looking at negatives being wrong, if you did, then I would be talking about you too.

Yes we are picking up points, but is that something that should mean we should remain happy with dropping off? Or should we be happy to discuss it as something we could improve on. Your not going to solve it all, but its no different to winning 5-4 and thinking of ways to better shore up the defence. Winning is winning, yes its great, but it does not mean our performances were without faults that can be addressed or discussed. Yes if a team comes at you more, you have to defend more, but as a team who are very good at counter attacking, then it should also play into our hands, it does in the first half if they come at us, so why do we sit back more when we have gone in at half time in the lead? Feel free to check the games under Monk, there have been a fair few instances this season and last of it, which is why I am discussing it.

Sometimes you have to accept that a team will/might come out with a different focus attitude/focus after a half-time rollicking from their gaffer!! Maybe that'll explain West Brom's heightened urgency at the start of the 2nd half on Saturday, that shifted us to the back foot for a while, but we recovered very well, so credit could be due to Monk for leading a team that was able to do that. I think it was the same last season too, but we struggled to cope with it on that occasion & we suffered for it!! If we'd converted a couple of the chances from the dominance in the 1st half of that game, we probably would have battered them. It hasn't always been perfect under Monk over his time on charge, but I think he showing he's learning quickly & our team seem to hunt in packs to win the ball back when losing it, something we never had previously...

It wasn't particularly directed at you AD but if by pointing out some unequivocal facts I'm 'over-critical' then guilty as charged. :) You haven't said I'm not supporting the team. Others have but let's leave it at that.

Our failure to start the second half well was something that often happened under Sir Mike. We often didn't start performing until about the 55th minute. Yes, we've had poor second half performances under Monk, but the problem has been there for a while. Not sure why.

    Pollypockets? <doh>

In my day we had to carve bark from trees in the garden, make our own paper, roll it out into sheets then use it for covering. Kids today!
