Urrgh. Flirting with relegation will probably be the best we can hope for.

If this is true, what are they thinking? Colo has been injury prone for a while now and Taylor is consistently poor and pretty much a perma-crock. We're going to get to see whether Satka, Good or Streete can cut it I guess.

The best we can hope for out of this is that the club accidentally discovers that these three are top rate defenders when they are thrown in at the deep end - which they inevitably will be if we're down to 3 first team CB's, 2 of which are injury prone. Can't understand this.

never trust Ashley never .. that's the truth ...run it into the ground ..he never fooled me ..

What I find most disgusting is the fact our main porogative right now is to sell a player rather than to replace an out going player! We're one bloody injury away from a cb crisis ... I think Ashley thinks he will have a lot of good will from this window. I think most fans will have a bad taste left in the mouth and I think we have literally done the bare minimum a usual to ensure no relegation but no more

If we are left with three senior CBs, one of whom is Taylor, and no genuine goal getter... I wouldn't be so sure that relegation is no risk.

We can manage without HBA but it is a risky strategy to rely on the three young lads at the back. Saylor is a nightmare and the Colo is pretty injury prone. Selling Mbiwa and Saylor and getting two centre backs was the way to go. We signed one who might be quite good but don't get him till next season!

The team COULD manage without HBA, if it weren't for the toxic knock on effect. You and I do agree on this, that HBA is surplus to requirements and then some, but there are many at the ground who feel that Pardew's to blame and in shipping him out Pardew has invited at any given moment a whole heap of negative feeling when things don't go our way.

Sky keep mentioning we're in for Nastasic which would be a fantastic signing.

However I doubt there's anything in it and in likelihood they're just reporting this so that people take a punt on him joining us with sky bet.

'Fraid so. BBC haven't mentioned Newcastle since MYM left.

So our "ambition" so far surpassed by Hull, Swansea, Southampton, West Ham and dare I say Sunderland. Naturally I don't include us with the usual top 6 or 7. Got to be now looking at 12th in the league, at best. I must admit, I have no interest in watching a disgraceful and avoidable season of nothingness, or worse.

I'd take relegation, clear out, new owner, new manager the way I'm feeling. Good thing, really, as I'm not convinced we're going to have much choice.

Last I heard about him was that he's "not interested in joining a mediocre club"

At least there's one positive, DMW will have to admit I'm the superior human being when HBA scores the winners against us for Hull <ok>

Oh, how delicious that if this were to happen he'd most likely debut at SJP!!!!

Can you imagine?! He'd get more applause from the home support by a mile than the manager - how embarrassing.

Exactly that will happen if the club sanctions this <ok>

I feel really really sympathetic to everyone who got a season ticket this year. It's going to be awful at games, at least for a little while. Hopefully some of the new signings step up in a big way, because quite honestly Ashley has taken the absolute piss once again.

its not turning into a love-in for the little waster is it.

Sky saying it's just a loan move Hull are after. Whichever way he goes to them, it's a really really poor bit of PR, business (he'll sell them enough shirts to justify a loan outlay EASILY) and just a pathetic bit of management all round <ok>

Least DMW will be safe from eating his words for a couple of games, unless they make the same mistake they made with LuaLua's loan a few years back <doh>
