I agree, I'd especially have liked to see an experienced attacker come in but we didn't manage to sell any of our strikers or wingers(assuming Lennon stays) and there doesn't seem to be anyone that special that has been available and on our kind of level wages.
The tweet was that the loan was a potential if we got a striker in. Is Danny Welbeck a striker now then?
SSN saying that it's looking increasingly unlikely that we'll be doing any business tonight. just wait for a repeat of the Moutinho saga.
he shouts, points and runs around a lot like robbie keane...unfortunately he finishes like roy keane...all of which makes me unkeen #see what i did there
honestly can't see who we could get in so SSN probably right ... but then again they thought arsenal had a chance of signing defoe
if the rumours are true that saints offered £12m for Townsend, surely we could have got someone better for that money??!!
"Must mean Cavani is coming in then." Reports are saying some accommodation on wheels is being backed thru the front gate at the Lodge. Does that mean a Caravan is coming in then ??
What about Huntelaar? surely he's within our reach? I'll piss myself if Defoe rejoins. (and won't be complaining either)
"PSG striker Edinson Cavani is currently undergoing a medical with Tottenham Hotspur ahead of a loan move with a view to a permanent deal. Cavani, who started his career with hometown side Danubio, has also had spells with Palermo and Napoli before making a big money move to the France capital last season. Despite enjoying a relatively successful season with PSG, Cavani is said to be unhappy at the club for reasons unknown and sees a move to the Premier League as a good career opportunity. Initially offered to Manchester City, it was North London side Tottenham Hotspur that made a move and things are believed to be progressing quickly. Tottenham will pay a £7m loan fee and are willing to pay a good proportion of Cavani's €200,000 a week salary and will have the option of making his loan move permanent with a fee believed to be in the region of £35m. With Cavani's impending arrival, Roberto Soldado may find himself making way for the Uruguayan, with Monaco monitoring his situation".
Playing CL football and injured a lot. If it was possible to get a CL playing striker from Germany I'd go for Kiessling, he's scored 15 or more league goals in 4 of the last 5 seasons and scored over 20 twice. He's also tall, strong and pretty quick so seems built for the PL, I don't understand why no one's ever gone for him.
Well written SOS I'd have a go at this, but my English is too poor to be funny. Where's Hiag? He'd be great at this.
