The sky fellow outside the training ground mentioned that 'a very good source' in the club claimed that Jermaine Defoe was there; but by his own admission, he also said that Demba BA was with him. So make of that what you will. A little later, the same reporter said that Adel Taarabt sped out the ground without stopping for autographs. He had a frown on his face and wasn't smiling. Great reporting that!
Surely that should be known already! Very disappointing if this doesn't go through on a technicality.
These skysports lot are a right tease... "Defoe may potentially be coming to play back in the PL with an old manager that he knows well.." I don't mind too much! he sounded the wrong sort to me. At least this explains why we're going midfielder crazy with all the links circulating currently
Following their first victory of the season on Saturday, Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp claimed a deal to sign former Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra was done. It had been reported Diarra had left Lokomotiv Moscow following a fall-out with the club's coach, but we are now hearing the Russian club have stepped in and the deal is now in jeopardy. From Sky
£165m?? I know there's been rampant inflation in the transfer market and a lot of clubs paying over the odds for players but......
Diarra deal off Posted at 14:52 BBC Sport's Mandeep Sanghera: "QPR's move for midfielder Lassana Diarra from Lokomotiv Moscow has fallen through. "QPR boss Harry Redknapp had said the 29-year-old had signed but there's been a late hitch and the deal is now off. "There seems to be an issue between Diarra and Lokomotiv and the Loftus Road outfit won't be pursuing that one any more."
This is the stream of SSN I'm watching, for anyone who's interested: http://www.time4tv.com/2011/09/sky-sports-news.php
Why does it seem that other teams transfer dealing always run as smooth as peanut butter and yet almost every deal good ol' Qpr get involved in has hitches, delays, sudden switches, fake agents, strange contract clauses, visa hold-ups, last minute changes of heart....etc etc Apart from Mccarthy earlier this week every deal always seems to either take an age or involve palpitation-inducing snags. Just my opinion having followed so many deals over so many years lol

Not sure what I think of that http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-LIVE-Follow-deals-rumours-drama-unfolds.html "Chris Wheeler brings some indepth coverage of the battle to sign Manchester United's Tom Cleverley: 'QPR are the latest club to register an interest in Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley, having signed his former Old Trafford teammate Rio Ferdinand earlier this summer."
