@bigadamsport
Just got the written equivalent of a blank look from #saintsfc with regards a loan for Diego Capel from Sp Lisbon

FFP is designed to keep clubs like ours down in our place at the feet of the big boys. Heaven forbid a club like Saints challenge the likes of the top teams
Its a joke and thats why NC fought so hard against it

That's certainly not what it's designed to do. That may be an unintended by-product, but the intention is to restore some sanity to the carnival of greed that modern football has become.

Only way were going to "challenge" the tops teams was to spend £200m every transfer window & not sell anyone.

Saints wouldn't have been punished by uefa FFP by developing our own players and getting into the Champions League (as very very unlikely as that is)

Kind of shows up the pointlessness of the rules to be honest.

FFP is the most pointless piece of governance ever put in place.

I feel it has made difference to be honest. It has meant that Real had to sell Di Maria and Alonso to make room for Kroos and Rodriguez. Same for Barcelona with Sanchez and Fabregas making way for Suarez etc. Big teams will still be able to spend big because of the way it's worked out by revenue (which is probably the fairest way of doing it) but they can't go out any buy everyone without a care in the world.

Monaco and many of the Russian sides are great examples of how FFP rule is working. Chelsea are probably the best example of where it still has a way to go, using loans and loan fees to increase squad size and revenue.

Anyway...back to the transfer window...

James McArthur spotted at Palace's training ground in Beckenham. Like, actually spotted. See, there's proof.
