Not sure how saying Allen dived for that penalty after the merest of touches is 'spewing bitter bile' like, but anyway, just lol at how you're all so desparate to make out their business is poor overall that you're making one eyed formations that ignore their genuine options. Carry on.
I personally think united needed Di Maria. Apart from Wrlbeck who isn't wanted and jamjar who is young and inexperienced they have 0 pace upfront. However, it's clear to everyone that the more desperately need a cb or two and a cm. I guess depends how you want to do it Rafa liked to get his defence sorted then build the midfield attack, Rodgers built his attack then concentrated on his defence. Maybe LVG is taking a similar path. They may concede a few goals bit I guess the hope is he has enough in attack to be able to break down the smaller teams and win him games that way.
Exactly someone who is more interested in talking football and addressing the real issue than being a #bitter apologist please log in to view this image Chris Tattersall: Man Utd have the the icing (Di Maria) and the cherry (Falcao). All they need now is the cake! Harry Shotton: Maybe Ed Woodward has confused Falcao for a commanding, experienced centre back? Warwickshire's former England all-rounder Rikki Clarke: "So Manchester United have replaced Robin van Persie before Arsenal have replaced Van Persie!" Mirror chief sports writer Oliver Holt: Falcao, Di Maria, RVP, Rooney - and a leaky defence. United may not challenge for the title this season but they'll be worth watching. Daily Telegraph football correspondent Henry Winter: Falcao to #mufc, Rooney to midfield, Mata to bench? Falcao truly exciting signing but United still need commanding centre-back & midfielder. Jonathan Sheppard: You know LVG said MUFC was unbalanced…. why not add another attacker.. just what's required. Philip Townley: LVG needs to sign a defender! On a positive note it looks like Welbeck is not needed anymore. He was terrible anyway! Tobes is #neutral though
Welbeck and Hernandez are off and RVP needs surgery apparantly so yes ManUtd Stuff ‏@ManUtdStuff 4m Falcao's agent: "It is a permanent deal but due to the financial fair play rules the first year must be a loan."
Yeah loan with option to buy would be a much safer bet. Maybe was the only way Monaco would let him go.
Adorjan apparently off to Serie C team Novara thought he was better then that always looked good in under 21's but never shone in pre season friendlys with the senior squad. QPR are looking at Borini now as well.
Is the talk not that RVP needs an op, and VG isn't sure he'll be fit much to play. Falcao has got to be better than turning to Hernandez or Welbeck lol. They still need a CB and a CM of CL quality but you can make a very nice first eleven out of them: ..................De Gea................... Raphael..Jones...Rojo.....Shaw...... .................Herera................ ......Mata.............Di Maria..... .Falcao................Rooney ...............RVP.................. Not perfect but I'm not sure I'd be 100% confident of beating it in a match as in a walk over.....as I say weak links, still in defence and DM.
Should get rid of RVP as well, while you still can get some money for him. 31, career plagued by injuries, only 2 yrs injury free and injured again. He looks shot, his WC was poor as well aside for one fantastic goal.
Ok well of course IF you're going to throw away decent players like Hernandez you will need yourself a replacement. That wasn't an issue coming into the job though. The fact that Hernandez and Kagawa have been dumped with Anderson still on the books and even played in competitive games shows a shocking lack of priorities. Van Persie should have also been sold at the start of the window anyway and was probably kept for the sake of his relationship with the manager more than football reasons. Surely the agent announcing it as a FFP loophole means the loophole will be closed?
great signing for utd that. I think it now allows welbeck and hernandez to be sold and of course rooney to be dropped. If its 5-3-2 the theory must be: -------------De Gea -- Rafael jones Evans Rojo Blind ---------Carrick---Herrera ---------------Di Maria ----------Rooney----- Falcao Super work there from utd this transfer window. Only need what another 4 in to complete the revolution. Just rafael, jones, evans and carrick to go now... Falcao is a super player, and RVP is basically phooked as utd got one good year and then he returned to type, if he ever gets back then rooney can be dropped i guess Classy utd work there. Plus they've a marvelous bench with felliani, mata and shaw... not to mention the mighty smalling and Fletcher and to come in
Maybe just lost in translation but I thought it was a loan with option to buy anyway. That seemed to make sense but a permanent deal for a player who's had such a nasty injury? Very risky and an ever decreasing sell on fee at 29....it might work for them (as he's a great player) but it seems all eggs thrown towards the top 4/CL basket for this season. There'll be turmoil next summer if they fail again this year.
Now that's a different question. Shaw was massively over priced but a good LB Herrera I don't know enough about to comment Rojo - as above Di Maria, great player but again massively over priced Blind - good deal that imo. Falcao - class striker, can't comment on the deal, as the detail is still sketchy They still need another CB and a CM player imo Overall, value wise probably crap, but they've added some definite quality to their squad
Anyone else think this one is funny as ****... Micah Richards is close to a move to Fiorentina now that is just the lad being stupid... doesn't he know this is the club with the shifts having swastikas on it, that di canio gave nazi salutes and and have severe racism issues? no? well done son... take a bow...
