good bunch of positives there , not too down about the defeat more the way we played in the first half , shame really .
He won't need to, as soon as Chezzie is back Davies and/or Dawson simply need to make the short pass to him and let him distribute it
why couldn't we play all 90 minutes like we did the final 30? Hopefully Hernandez and a midfielder of two coming in tomorrow will add the extra quality / give competition for some places that some have been calling for this afternoon.
I thought Hudd had a nightmare of a game. Dawson a bit up-tight but I believe he will settle. Jelly needs someone to play to and play off. Aluko had a late chance but played his usual 'bound-for-glory' game. Young Robertson is a great signing and he will develop well. Don't think Brady is himself yet but needs more game time. Macca was Macca but has nowhere to put the ball. This team has a lot of 'bonding' to do yet but I think we will get there when we get some strength up front. MoM I'd have to say Jelly, Robertson and a shaky Dawson who showed some deft touches but few and far between.
3) Brady shouldn't take corners Quinn should be taking them - especially after his great corner at QPR which Chezzie scored from
No, I don't play the "my dad is bigger than your dad" with every post. Davies launched it a few times - fancy criticising him too?
We were utterly appalling in the first half, this would be a weird message board if we pretended otherwise.
I'm not disagreeing with the general consensus of the performance, I just wish people wouldn't pretend they're going to throw themselves off the Humber Bridge everytime we play badly. It's like some people are afraid that's how we're going to play all season.
Roberston my MOM closely followed by Quin and Jelavic. Livermore was way better in the second half-in the first wondered how we managed to pay 8 million for him.
I have to agree about Robertson, this is just his third game but he already looks every bit a Premier League player. Quinn was alright and Jelavic shouldn't play as a lone striker, all his touch offs and flick ons went to nobody. Hopefully Hernandez can click with him like Long did.
The problem I've got so far is I don't think we have played one full game yet, it seems to be normal now to wake up for a half but be asleep for the rest of the game.
We've never won at Villa since 1967 so no change there, but it looks like they shook the Euro knockout hangover out of their system with that 2nd half performance, so upwards and onwards.
He didn't do much, he was crowded out for most of the game and was hauled off in favour of Brady, who to be fair had much more of an impact.
Bruce said Davies was taken off because he was poor. Boyd to Burnley done. Two midfielders in, one from abroad and one from England.
