Worth a punt but Blackburn after daft money.
However, with the service we provide not many strikers would get more than 10 a season. Fletch looks isolated and disinterested so probably look to off load come Jan if we haven't got a replacement lined up to come in tomorrow. Whickham goes from great ( took Phil Jones to pieces in the first half last week from the wide position ) to less than average ( couldn't trap a bag of cement yesterday ) game by game but this is to be expected given his age and experience! If we are going to play 1 up then Gus must put round pegs in round holes and get some decent service to the front man and more support from wide and centre getting past the lone striker. Also, as much as I rate him, thought Jonno was back to his worst yesterday - didn't seem to get involved much. Surprised Buckley didn't keep his place following a great debut.
Marking for the corner was awful - Why was Catts marking a bloke half a foot taller than him and Wes wandering about on the edge of the 6 yard box looking like a little boy lost?

He's nothing like Wickham mate, he really isn't.

He's much more of an 'on the spot' striker, and a natural, instinctive finisher, I think he'd step up.

Not a concern anyway, as we ain't in for him.

Agree GG - from what little I've seen he's more super Kev than Whickam II

    Yep, much more.

He makes things happen and scores all kind of goals, I'm convinced he'll be a success in the Premier when his time comes.

Sorry Smug but is your point he's young and unproven at this level? Completely agree with that.

Let me say from the outset I can't see us either bidding for or getting Rhodes, but, it does sometimes happen that a kid comes from nowhere and does the business.

    Wish we could find him.
