I like the positivity on here but let's not kid ourselves we are bloody lucky we are only a goal behind. I agree with skylarker, their pace and movement up front is ripping us to shreds.
Spurs started brightly but Liverpool look a different level to me, there's a calmness about their forward play and genuine strategy whereas Spurs are panicking a bit at the moment. Different game if Adebayor puts his foot though after 9 minutes rather than trying a difficult lob.
They were two excellent chances. Chadli, especially, had to score there. Instead he blasted it straight at the keeper!..
Penalty to Liverpool. Looked very soft and Sterling looked offside from the header, but that's pretty standard.

Lamela's been absolutely anonymous. We might get some joy by bringing on Townsend and getting him at Manquillo, who's on a booking.
Dier should know from his time in Portugal that if you even touch a player in the area, he's liable to hit the ground like a sack of potatoes. Stupid, soft penalty!
Touched him says it all. A dive is when someone isn't touched. He went down easy, but who wouldn't?? lets be honest here if it was at your end a player would have done exactly the same.
He was pulled back right in front of the referee. Blame whoever you want but Dier was at fault. Exactly. Must be very frustrating. Will be very surprised if we don't concede though... not over by a long way.
