True True. May be we could replicate it by getting a load of shop dummies in club shirts and installing sound devices that constantly play Tony Incenzo's commentary from Wembley on a loop.
I'm telling you, the stadium will be called The Air Asia Arena, and will be known as The Triple A. Also, just to clarify, as far as I'm aware Tony didn't exactly say that we'd own the stadium, what he said was that the stadium would be owned by the owners of QPR (i.e him and his shareholders). That's a subtle but significant difference. In terms of a question, I don't know if this will be allowed as it doesn't strictly relate to the stadium, but I would really like an update on Warren Farm please. No official statement has ever been made to say that it'd been dropped. All there was was a one line quote from Tony implying that it probably would be. IMO that's not good enough, and I would appreciate a bit of clarity on what's happening. Thanks for going Roller, much appreciated that you've asked for our input
Could you find out the current situation re. Warren Farm please Roller? Specifically, our current youth academy is "Category 2", and I understood that a new training ground was 100% necessary for us to be upgraded to Category 1. Acquiring this improved status is essential for the future of the club- so there should be some alternative measures in place if WF is a no-go.
The club have it on the offish consultation exhibitions being held... http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/3...sultation-exhibitions-announced-1887456.aspx?
Make them an offer they can't refuse, name it the "Car Giant Megabowl" on condition they **** off and leave the land.
Honestly, Car Giant are a very small fish in a very big pond. Once the political gears start turning, they'll get chewed up and spat out.
Lets just hope Grundon don't enter the world of football ground naming rights, "The Grundon Arena"....
Roller, it sound like an exciting meeting. I would focus any questions on the strategic issue of the stadium: Q. When is it envisaged that the Car Giant situation will be resolved? Q. What are the key milestones (dates) for the project? Q. When is anticiapted that the project will get a "green-light" for go mode? Q. What are the any back up scenario's should this project not go to plan? I look forward to your feedback.
I would prefer a simpler powerpoint presentation with an executive summary, action plan, risk assessment and contingency plan.
Not sure a Q shape would work - that would mean the stands being further away from the pitch. Personally, retaining a rectangle shape is key - but something that allows more seats in the corners. Really wouldn't want the stadium to be a bowl shape.
