Eduardo Vargas brings the total to 95 with two weeks to go, looks like we'll hit the ton in the late frenzy...
Providing Remy stays, maybe just another back up striker & keeper but I'm pretty satisfied as we speak. I just want the team to 'click' ................ see, I didn't say, gel ( until now)
Entering the final 36 hours of the window and we have added ten names this week and no doubt a late frenzy will add several more before the deadline. Total stands at 109...
Not sure this is on here Fabio Borini http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/footbal...talk/news/qpr-line-up-borini-move_174158.html Queens Park Rangers line up Fabio Borini move? Fabio Borini of Sunderland celebrates with Adam Johnson as he scores their second goal during the Barclays Premier League match between Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion at Stadium of Light on May 7, 2014© Getty Images By Paul Gorst, Reporter Filed: Sunday, August 31, 2014 at 13:02 UK Last Updated: Sunday, August 31, 2014 at 13:02 UK Queens Park Rangers are reportedly lining up a swoop for Liverpool striker Fabio Borini. Mario Balotelli's arrival at Anfield means Borini's chances of first-team action are even more limited, and the Italian had been linked with a move to Sunderland. However, according to the Daily Star, newly-promoted QPR have also joined the hunt as they look for a replacement for Loic Remy, who is expected to leave before Monday's 11pm transfer deadline. Liverpool agreed a £14m fee with the Black Cats for Borini last month, meaning that R's manager Harry Redknapp may have to match that to land the player.
I don't rate Borini at all; Liverpool have a habit of buying a few naff players over recent years that aren't good enough for also rans like Sunderland or QPR. Given a choice I'd prefer SigueSigueSputniksson as my tea leaves and pine cone suggest he'll be brilliant.
I'm undecided on Borini but from what I have seen in the Netherlands SigueSigueSputniksson is happy at Ajax and even said a few days ago his future was sorted at Ajax! I suppose that could change.
This may just be lazy journalists filling column inches, but I hope it has leg... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...lbeinn-Sigthorsson-replacement-Loic-Remy.html
http://www.volkskrant.nl/vk/nl/1078.../2014/08/28/Sigthorsson-blijft-bij-Ajax.dhtml This basically says that frank de Boer expects him to stay as no desired overseas club was found (weak link) and has made the Ajax starting line up in the first games of the season. It is unlikely that Ajax will attract another striker before the transfer window closes and the club tried in vain to attract Samuel Eto, De Boer also has the talented strikers Arek Milik and Richairo Zivkovic to call apon..
http://www.football-italia.net/55262/qpr-approach-parmas-amauri? QPR approach Parma's Amauri By Football Italia staff Veteran Parma centre-forward Amauri is thought to be of interest to QPR. The Brazilian-Italian striker turned 34 in June and has been linked with a possible exit in recent weeks. He scored eight Serie A goals in 31 games for the Ducali last season, plus two in two Coppa Italia ties. According to Sky Sport Italia, Queens Park Rangers have approached Parma asking for a possible transfer. Amauri is well-travelled thanks to spells at Napoli, Piacenza, Messina, Fiorentina, Palermo, Chievo and Juventus. He took on Italian citizenship, but only received one senior cap for the Azzurri in August 2010.
How about Jermaine Lens? http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2014/08/31/5073103/qpr-line-up-jeremain-lens-as-remy-replacement PR have made a bid for Dynamo Kiev striker Jeremain Lens as they prepare for the sale of Loic Remy, Goal understands. Remy was not included in the QPR squad for the victory over Sunderland on Saturday, with Harry Redknapp confirming the striker would be leaving the club. Chelsea reignited their interest in the France international following the departure of Fernando Torres, who has joined AC Milan on a two-year loan deal. Arsenal emerged as rivals for Remy's signature but have since dropped their interest, paving the way for the Blues to complete a move for the striker. QPR have now identified Lens as a replacement for Remy and could sign the former PSV man before the transfer window closes on Monday night. Lens made the move to Dynamo Kiev in 2013 but stated earlier in the summer that he is interested in a move away from Ukraine. "I have already stated several times I am interested in a new challenge at a good club," he told Helden Online. "But it's unfair to Dynamo Kiev to repeat that all the time. I am here now and signed here at Kiev with full understanding. If I stay here, than I will do my job and give everything I have." ------------- Better than Amauri FFS!
