Armand Traore is reluctant to join Crystal Palace.

QPR have accepted an offer for the 24-year-old, who signed a new contract only only weeks ago.

Former Rangers manager Neil Warnock took him to Loftus Road from Arsenal for £2m in 2011 and made a bid after returning for a second spell in charge of Palace.

Harry Redknapp has described it as “a good offer” and the R’s boss wants the deal to go through, but Traore is not keen on the move.

I hope he stays then if he wants to. But does Arry want him then? Seems not. I think he is good back up as he showed again when he came on yesterday, and Clint can't play LB all season. We look short left side at back or wing back without him.

Totally hear what your saying and agree that it might leave us light. I just don't see us letting him go without having (as Harry put it) Irons in the fire.

Good news. We simply can't make so many changes to our squad again.

I don't want players going to rivals.

I think Traore is good enough and would get better after a run in the side.

A defender he isn't, can only really be a squad player but he doesn't instil confidence...

Think he's defended well since he came back about March wiith a new outlook on life after reading some book. For example, Good when moved to LB in the final, a lot better when moved there 2nd half Spurs, and when he came on yesterday.

Traore is simply not good enough.

Don't you just love how polarised QPR fans can be over different subjects. There are Pro and Anti camps now for:

    Taarabt
    Redknapp
    Traore
    Fernandes

I've said this a couple of time on here in different threads. Have a watch of the Tottenham game, I seem to remember it happening in the Hull game too, in a shoulder to shoulder challenge he seems to be knocked off the ball too easily. It way to dangerous to have that happening close to ones own goal. That's why I don't mind him a left midfielder so much, but at the back? Na. I like the guy and have respect for him but I see him as a bit of a liability for that reason.

In fairness to the boy, if he was contesting shoulder-to-shoulder for the ball with a Spurs player during that match, from what I saw he must've been the only one. If memory serves, the Ranger with most touches in that match was Rob Green with four...

    Don't forget;
    Simpson
    Austin
    Barton
    Rio
    Hoilett

    We all have different opinions.

I don't see those discussions as being as divisive or candescent as those that I listed, or at least certainly not recently.

Now't wrong with different opinions, of course, there'd be no point in talking about anything if we all agreed, but some topics get entertainingly spikey.

But there are different facets about each too mate. It's not just Pro this or Anti this..

I think Adel is quality and we should keep him if we can, but recognise he isn't the easiest player to Manage.
Arry knows the game, must be the King of moving players in and out, but his tactics, team selections seem very questionnable to me,and his lack of willingness to work with difficult players suggest as his media performances he is getting too old and tired for the job
Traore I see as great back up in our PL team, as he can play at LB, LWB, LM or I'd like to see him tried as LCB in a back 3. And he's still young, improving and probably will get better. But not sure he's quite good enough to start regularly in any position in a decent PL team.
TF? Love his investment and entusiasm, but often he seems tp misplace both. Hopefully he also is getting smarter with football.

I like him and think he offers cover and versatility in a number of scenarios. However you have to be realistic that he is not the greatest defender and is a one trick pony beating a player (touch by and rely on pace). Squad player for me.

I say it as I see it and with Traore it's a shame because he has pace and can produce a good cross, but as a left back you have to be able to defend and any good attacking player would find him out. He'd be targeted by most teams as a weakness and rightly so. I don't think he has enough versatility to be an effective left sided midfielder (or right sided as Harry has used him)...
