The BBC didn't even show Forster's save.

FLT, that's because they spent so much time trying to get WHU an imaginary penalty. Tosses!

I watched the Sky version (better because it is an hour long, of course) and MOTD bit twice. Lineker said we were easy on the eye and Koeman had done wonders, but apart from that didn't praise us enough (but is it actually possible enough to praise us enough for Saints fans!). I wish people would just shut up about Schneiderlin leaving...he isn't, so leave it. Why not remark on the fact that we have carried on nicely after losing a large number of players and the manager....suggests something about Southampton. We came out on the right side of a 50:50 penalty decision and were given a dubious corner....these things happen (certainly happen to us), doesn't mean you can go to sleep and concede a goal. The better side won yesterday and that is all that matters.

    Yoshida's magic shoulder?

I'm actually secretly pleased they played our performance down; keeps us under the radar. They tried to sell Morgan again for the second show running, but apart from that I'm happy to be progressing on the quiet. It's a bit like the championship season when everyone waxed lyrical about Poyet and Brighton until about End of October and they all suddenly realised we were top!!

Actually Fran, we won yesterday; THAT is all that matters. The fact we were the better team is nice, but the win is the bit that matters :)

Media should react to events and try their best to reconstruct the narrative from them. All too often this year the BBC and press have attempted to fit events into the narrative they think suits the big clubs. It is bad journalism and, worse, stinks of anti-club bias. We seem to be being blamed now for destroying our own club and it is pretty disgusting to express sympathy for Schneiderlin being stuck here. What about all those fans who stood by this club in the dark days? Don't they deserve to see their heroes?

Bah. The BBC has gone down the ****ter.

Just said on skysports that Jay Rod should have been on goals on Sunday but saints pulled the plug and won't allow him to appear?

    Weird ....

Tbf, they said it was difficult for Schneiderlin, but his attitude has been spot on. Not quite anti-Saints. Obviously, they have ignored twitter-gate (which was out of character, so we will forget it as well....unless he let's us down again).

I think it offends the likes of Phil Neville and Danny Murphy that a player of Morgan's quality isn't at a bigger club. Gary Lineker ought to know better than to encourage their big-club bias, because despite playing for Everton, Spurs, and Barcelona, not to mention the biggest club in Japan, his heart still belongs to Leicester City.

I also liked Schneiderlin's straight forward approach in the interview.
After Adam, I never want to see another pro footballer kissing (or patting) the badge. And if I hear one profess undying love for Saints in an interview, I shall need a sick bag.
Pleased he has accepted the reality of UK contract law and realises that applying himself is in his best interest as well as ours. I just love symbiosis- it really beats sentiment every time.

The Danny Murphy who started out at Crewe? and captained both Fulham and Blackburn? You'd think he'd know better.

I don't think we should be offended that people think Morgan should be playing for a bigger club. After all, Morgan thinks that too.

It's just a testament to his ability.

I think Saints is a great club to play for and I object to the view that players are wasting their time being here. I blame it on the change of the Champions League to a league format. No one considered it to be important to be in a CL club at a time when they could get knocked out at any time. People considered the FA cup to be of almost equal importance.

If anyone wants to prolong the sense of schadenfreude yet further, Mark Noble is a guest on Goals on Sunday today...

Worth mentioning that Noble said Pelle was hard to play against and "looks like a really good signing for them".

Absolutely and ridiculous. Two opposite scenarios and both apparently wrong. How can they blame us for selling players and moan at us for not selling players:steam:
