Scotland leaving the UK would be like somebody moving out of their parents house for the first time! They'd certainly enjoy their freedom but would still go back for their tea 3 times a week and expect their parents to help out with the rent when things get a bit tight!

Just concerned about people from our area who work offshore and travel up to Aberdeen on a regular basis, would we need a passport and work permit or what?
If they are serious about it I say to hell with them, send about 5000 brickies up to Wallsend and start building it bigger.

There seems to be about a million questions, but no answers, don't think any of us has a clue, doubt the people running the country have any idea about it either.

Has there been any recent polls on how people are gonna vote?

I hope that Scotland stays part of the UK, however, the way things are going in England in respect of Jihadists & the likes of Anjem Choudray wanting to make the UK a muslim caliphate, 1400 children being groomed because police & local authorities are frightened to act for fear of being labelled as racist, they are better off out of the UK. Good luck to them!

They'd have to apply to join the EU (again), so I think that would put them out of the Schengen area, so you'd need a visa to visit. Ha!

    The Polish get a say?

I think most the polls taken are in favour for the current state, but there is a significant amount of people undecided which will ultimately swing it.

Imo it comes down to money, and there is too much doubt to going it alone, better the devil you know. Also think its dangerous to lower the voting age to 16. The difference between a 16 year old and 18 can be like night and day.

If Scotland does leave the union it has massive ramifications on the rest of the UK.

It would take years of legal wranglings, thousands on new laws will be created.

    Our politics would massively change.

Scottish MP's would be kicked out of West minster on the day of independence totally changing who may be in power.

Our armed forces and weaponry would be split.

Scotland would have to take a share of debt but could try to hold England to ransom with the pound.

It would cost England fortunes and dominate our policy making for years.

On a more important point, would Berwick Rangers be forced to play in the English leagues?

Don't think so - Cardiff and Swansea still play in the English league, Dynamo Minsk in the Russian league, and Monaco in the French league, etc.

Millions of pounds have been spent on campaigning by both sides in the Scottish independence referendum, but the fact is, the result will be determined by whether or not Braveheart is on telly the night before the vote.

Living and working here, as an englishman its a hard one.

What is tending to sway me is the fact that if scotlamd stays with the rest of the UK, in a years time, we will still have a tory govt, without anyone in scotland voting for it.

We could be taken out of europe against our wishes, thanks to southern anti EU fearmongering.

People who focus on short term economic issues, are for me missing the point. For one, there will be 18 months to sort out the the teething problems. Its not like the borders will be closed straight afterwards.

And frankly, Edinburgh would give far more of a toss about us in the North East than London ever will.

Oh, and the majority of the no people Ive met, are massive hun pricks anarl.
