We'll get a 1 - 0 win but won't score the goal. I'm going for a Brad Guzan own goal as I'm sure he still has a soft spot for us.
We'll stay in the top half even if we lose. A draw could mean 6th while a win would see us overtake Man City and possibely be 3rd or 4th depending on how Tottenham and Arsenal do. I could accept a draw but this is a great chance to grab a win and go into the international break in a fantastic position.
That's definitely the team I'd go with but it'll be a hard fought battle with two strong defenses and not much firepower up front on either side. I'll be happy with a 1-1 draw. I think Stoke's 1-0 win over Man City away today just highlights how impressive our draw with 10 men against them last week was. Just hope we can get Hernandez in before the deadline to give Jelly some striker support up front. Long looked pretty good for the Saints today but 12 mill. was good business.
As much I love Meylers workrate and energy Quinn seems add some fluidity to our play and links up well with the left wing back.
I'm just not seeing it with Ince. I'd put Meyler in and put Quinny in Ince's place. Both Meyler and Livermore need a kick up the arse today. I'd look at playing Maguire instead of Macca anarl. With Davies and Dawson alongside it'll bring him on and thats 3 big beasts at corners. Greegsy Davies Dawson Maguire Elmo Hudd Jake Meyler Robertson Quinn Jelavic
Away games like this are perfect for Ince - and I'd argue it's very important for City to have someone like him in these games. Someone has to be able to stretch the game and get beyond their big defenders, and Jelavic, for all his other attributes, won't be doing that.
Depends what SB tells him to do, but he can do that - most of his Blackpool goals were scored that way.
Agreed with Livermore needing a kick up the arse, looked sloppy and lazy at times, I also would only add Dawson to replace Chester, adding two new centre backs together would be foolish, keep it safe back there
doesn't sound like they're too bullish, sounds to me like they are more worried about their own players.
I'd say the right players are on the bench ahead of Boyd even if the transfer rumour is rubbish, based on form over the last few matches.
