A very good performance, although Sunderland were not great. We look much more comfortable with a back four and were very hard to break down in the second half, when it was certainly 4-5-1. Great to see us pouring people forward on occasion with even Caulker marching on. Good performances throughout (really like Isla), but Barton MOM for me, just for his commitment - and we scored from his corner.

Thought everyone was fantastic today, played with heart and couldn't pick fault with anyone.
Was bit worried kept giving ball away in panic when under cosh near end but great to see Phillips using head and going to the corner at the end although all of us pointing and shouting for him to do it probably helped!
What a great day and looking forward to all the positive comments on here!

    Nice story after the match.

I was sat on the train waiting to leave Victoria for the journey back to leafy Surrey when I noticed this guy with a fading image of Stan Bowles on his T-Shirt walking towards me. He sits down next to me and, inevitably, we start chatting about the match. Forums enter the conversation and he reveals that he is a poster on a few. It is only Croydon Captain Jack!!!! What a lovely fella he is. I knew that he was relatively local to me from some previous posts during the great floods earlier this year, but we also do business with some of the same people! Small world.

I'll take that - seeing the worst but we're still able to compete. We possibly didn't press high up (especially after the substitutions) but that's OK.

Cheers Roller. It was great to meet you as well. I can't believe what a small world it is especially after you told me about who you sit near at the ground!

Good, very good win. Thats QPR for you. Just when you were ready to think, that all goes badly after Remys,Simpsons and Faurlins case, they go and won a match when it was so badly needed. Great!

Great performance from the TEAM .Had a great day over with the grandson who went totally beserk when we scored as he had predicted it 10 secs earlier. Was sat in Sth Afr Rd just left of half way line and had a great view of our set up and it looked 4 4 1 1 to me most of the time. Rio needs his boots sorted as he couldent keep his feet, and Charlie is definitely carrying an injury which the 2 wk break should sort. Overall delighted with the win with the spine of last year still there the new men are fitting in well.
