Great game for the neutral, great result at the toughest place to go.

    Well played lads...

I think 3-6 was a little harsh on us though even though were defensively slightly poor<yikes>

Fair play to you lot, never gave up! Not very often you get a 9 goal thriller at Goodison <laugh>

No fair play It was a hell of a match If you had Costa and Fabregas last year you'd have walked the league IMO

Don't care about the defending, points is all that matters.

Jose will care though, this is one of those hockey scores he used to complain about :)
Still though, we went to Goodison and got 3 points, not too many teams will be doing that this season.
Costa got another 2 goals as well, and Fab still assisting a good'un. Both great signings by the look

Defending might have been a little sus, but when we can score like that...........
Joy to watch a Chelsea team who want to attack. Whatever Ivans on, I'd like some ! As well as the defenders doing extra practice this week, Rammy and Willian need to do some passing practice. They both get 110 for effort though. Doubt we will see a better game this year. And humble pie from me for doubting Fabregas was the answer.

Must say beyond my wildest dreams - was anticipating a tight 1-0 win or 1-1. What with Costa & Fabregas hitting the ground running plus the departure of the £50 million dollar man to Roma, everything seems to be coming up roses.....only downside was the defence but with a bit of tweaking it can be fixed. So early days but it's mostly all good.

Just seen Martinez's comments, what a little hypocritical c**t, complaining that Costa needs to respect his opponents when half his team was trying to get him sent off.

Exactly, lost a lot of respect for the bloke. Piece of **** thing to say from an exceptionally poor loser. Coleman got back what he deserved <ok>

Quality match yesterday. Chelsea have been my second team for a long time and was over the moon when Costa signed. Saw him play over here a lot last season and knew he would be great. Its that tenacity he has that torres doesn't and the more he pisses people off the better he plays as they all start concentrating on him. 25 minimum from him this year.

Hopefully see you in the champions league next year (or not)

Agree. If costa was disrespectful then what about howard running in to front him?

Everton played a game against Diego and he beat them at it. If anything he showed restraint and acted in a classier way than coleman did!

Where was the respect for Fabregas when Mirallas deliberately trod on his fingers and didn't even apologise or acknowledge?
