Then someone please explain to me; how is it fine that we're selling a 10mill+ defender for 3mill AND paying Agger a settlement on his remaining wages due which likely won't be 100%, but won't exactly be a negligible amount either. Lets say a 7mill drop in revenue from a direct sale. Unless Agger or Brondby are paying US a settlement, we come out with a major loss on his true value regardless of how you phrase it. If the reduced fee is so that they can pay higher wages, then a settlement does us no favours. If the settlement is to encourage him to leave at a drop in wages, we might as well just sell him to a bigger club and tell him to lower his unrealistic wage demands. Makes no sense. Great servant and all, but football is a business these days, and this isn't good business.
Not saying it's fine, just saying. Praising Agger's character is fine, it's the clubs and agents you should be having a go at if this transfer happens. Agger seems happy to go anywhere as long as it's out the door of LFC where he knows he's going to be on the bench which is what you'd expect from a good pro. More details are needed. If he's done a Borini and dug his heels in saying it's Brondby or nothing, then we'll be entitled to have a go at him, however him being close to joining Barca at one stage makes that seem unlikely but we don't know what's going on behind the scenes. If you want really bad business Torres to AC on a free is bad business. He's **** but he's not free ****.
What! and break with the forum tradition of rash assumption and wild speculation. You'll be telling us next that you do not believe in the lizard people or that David Icke is our saviour. GOOD GOD MAN, GET A GRIP!
Sisu will be bringing proof of the lizards back from the glowing fissure/portal in the Pacific sea bed imminently.
Daniel Agger admits he has struggled to cope with the physical demands of the Premier League after agreeing to join Brondby from Liverpool. "Liverpool have been such a big part of my life and my family's lives for so long, that leaving is extremely difficult," Agger told "The opportunity arose for me to return home to Brondby and at this stage of my career it felt like the right decision for me. "I wouldn't leave here to go anywhere else and that has been proven by my actions in recent seasons - I have turned down many offers to move to other Premier League and European clubs. "This has been our home and somewhere we have been very happy and settled. However, more recently I have started to feel the effects of playing regularly in a league that is as physically demanding as the Premier League is, and I would not want to stay if I did not think that I was able to meet that challenge week in, week out."
Where is the crank anyway?? I miss coming onto the forum and seeing four new threads all beginning with OT:
Guess the Uruguayan link is behind that one Would only leave us with Skrtel, Sakho, Lovren & Toure though. Is 4 enough?
I usually feel a squad should have 4 senior CB's and 1 really promising youth who can fill in if need be. Wisdom and Ilori could have been that 5th but the loan will do them both better.
Will have been mentioned somewhere, but Remy agree's terms with Chelsea...........................pending personal terms and medical
Chelsea can self insure for when he drops of a heart attack then There's a reason why happy Harry is shifting him on and it ain't a case he'd like to keep the lad no matter what lies he spouts
If his release clause is met surely he has no choice but to shift him on? Still think he'd have been a good signing for us. No one else seems overly concerned about his health issues. Also looks like Falcao is on the move, he's been dropped from Monaco's match day squad at the last minute. Off to Real on loan probably.
