Agreed. Plus almost never wastes a ball. When in a difficult situation with a ball rarely loses it and manages to start the ball moving with a pass to a player who is in an easier unchallenged position and is thus able to pick out an easier but more advantageous pass.
One way United fans have described him "Cleverley has loads of qualities that suit the Spanish style. I especially love when he shouts out and holds his hand up to his teammate 5 yards away to pass the ball as if he has some master plan for it, and then when we receives it he passes it backwards/side-wards another 5 yards. That's all those Spanish teams do, it's a wonder they score anything other than own goals, quite frankly." We don't need this kind of player. I'm not saying he isn't good enough, just we need either a more attacking or a more defensive player, not just a normal CM. We have three of those already in Thudd, Jake and Meyler. We could've kept Cairney for that.
Boydy off? Pete O'Rourke ‏@SkySportsPeteO 1m Burnley are weighing up a move for Hull City forward George Boyd. #HCAFC #twitterclarets
If we plan on playing 3-5-2 sadly there is no place for him, even in a four midfield Brady/Ince/Quinn ahead of him for Left mid and Elmo/Ince/Aluko ahead for Right mid.
Am I the only one who likes Boyd and the way he runs beyond the striker. Thought he was just starting to show his talent last season then he wrongly got suspended for that supposed spit
Should keep Boyd, he offers something no one else does. He's not really premiership standard, but is in a weird sort of way. He's got excellent feet and close ball control, if we're chasing a goal or struggling to break down a defence he can just dance his way past defenders as if they're not there. No one else in our squad can do that. Not first 11 quality though, doesn't have the athleticism to make an impact on an open game at this level.
I would also be disappointed if we let Boyd go, but if he wants to play football, then it's fair enough.
Sad to see Boyd leave if he does but he was in the same situation as Quinny at the start of the season and Quinny has stepped up a level
George Boyd looks really good on YouTube. We (City that is) should sign him up. Cracking goals with both left and right foot. Just what we need!
Oh, so we're looking to sign an attacking midfielder yet we're willing to let go....an attacking midfielder...genius! Better still, why not let Boyd leave and replace him with an ordinary midfielder such as.....Tom Cleverley. ffs!
I think Boyd is a really good impact substitute that causes defences problems and manages to maintain possession and also doesn't mind tracking back. Also. I wouldn't want to help out one of our rivals by loaning or selling them a player.
