If Burnley are to survive they need to be winning these matches against mid table teams.

Mata, Rooney, Van Persie and Di Maria as well as two attacking "fullbacks" in Valencia and Young and United still resort to hoofing it forward to create their best chances despite LVG claiming that that's all Burnley do <doh>

Was it 4 Burnley shots to United's 1 too?

United need to stop trying to fit all their attacking players in. Doesn't work. They look very disjointed. RVP looks off the pace completely, and there's no link up with Rooney, who in fairness is actually trying to make things happen.

They should improve when they can line up with Rojo, Blind, Herrera and Carrick instead of Blackett, Fletcher, Young and ??? of the attackers.

Their performance against MK Dons was abject, to say the least. However, that was their 2nd string. This is their first team. Burnley are better than The Dons, though. Good game so far. I'm enjoying it.

There's very little quality about Burnley outside of Ings... they look every inch a championship side.

Last 30 seconds of play just summed up this game where the ball travelled no further than 10 yards as each side just headed it in the air to each other.

Agreed. Man Utd have made their defenders look good by launching long ball towards them. I imagine the likes of Shackell & Duff would struggle much more if they were isolated 1v1 and had Man Utd's attacking players running at them.

Burnley look to be tiring now anyway and a Man Utd winner seems to be on its way.

Man Utd's best chance comes via hoof-ball . . . depressing viewing for United fans.
