That of course was John Bond. It was at Dean Court that he cut his teeth as a football boss - winning the Cherries promotion to the Third Division and putting much needed energy into the club off the field. His move to Norwich City in November 1973 was an off-on affair, but eventually the Canaries got their target. John Benson, a reliable full back at Carrow Road, left City in 1975 to take charge of the Cherries in the role of player manager. Unfortunately the club were relegated back to the Fourth Division in this period and Benson resigned his post in 1978. Mel Machin was Bournemouth manager in cash strapped times between 1994 and 2000, before serving the club as Director of Football for a couple of years. In 2006 Kevin Bond followed in his father's footsteps and took over at Dean Court. Two of City's greatest ever players made the transition from Dean Court to Carrow Road, namely Ted ('SuperMac') MacDougall and Kevin Reeves. Ted endured himself to the Carrow Road faithful with his goalscoring prowess, he scored 23 goals for City in the 1975/76 season and was the First Division's top scorer that year. Sorry this thread has been put up a bit later than usual guys but it was back to work this week after 10 days holiday. I'm fairly confident going into tomorrow's game, 4-0 City ! I had no idea we hadn't beaten them in the last nine home games going back to 1951. We are going to have to be super this season because this league is FULL of our bogey teams. I was nervous about this one, anyway. It's tricky and Bournemouth seem to have goals in them, especially away from home. From what I read from those of you who go to games (I can't watch most of them nowadays) we've looked pretty good in the last few games (especially at home), but consistency is the key to getting out of this league. Great thread, and like Vietnamcanary watching games for me is limited now (though caught the derby last week ) but the feelgood factor is certainly back. Big game today and one we would want to win to stamp our credentials further on promotion potential. OTBC 2-1

Not really, it's usually an hour before kick off. Becchio would probably be a better option from the bench than Loza, but perhaps if we're trying to offload him there's a concern about him picking up a knock?
Pearce is doing a fine job at Forest there starting 11 doesn't look great but they keep on winning ,looks like they are the early pace setters .
