Ok. Out of interest, do you not think you'd be able to get Welbeck? You honestly think he plays his game at a higher level than you could attract or is it his wages? I've barely seen him do anything of note since he left the Bernabeu.
I think he'll end up at Spurs, his wages wouldn't be an issue, but I think he thinks he's too good to play for a club the size of Hull City. I don't actually think he is and a year from now we probably would be able to buy him, but we've just signed Hernandez from Palermo for £10m, so I doubt we're still interested. We're also getting a bit giddy about the news broken in the last half hour, that we're in for Salihovic from Hoffenheim.
Well at least you've got your opinion on Welbeck pretty much spot on. The kid is a joke. I hear Bruce has bid for Cleverley now... I think at any price that's a better deal for United.
We haven't bid for Cleverley, but Bruce says he's keeping an eye on it. I've no idea why, he's not the sort of midfield player we need and would seem to me to be a complete waste of money, we've already spent £8m on Livermore this window and he does the same job. Bruce has confirmed this morning that we're trying to get van Ginkel on loan from Chelsea, if we do that should put the Cleverley story to bed(I think he'll go to Villa, they seem far keener than us). Unfortunately, the Hoffenheim midfielder we got excited about yesterday turned out to be complete bollocks.
