Liberal ideals, like him getting paid £3,000 an episode to sycophantically interview the Iranian Ayatollah on a state tv channel? The US are the great devil and he can call out their hypocrisies, but a religious despot, who sentences women to death for adultery, is only to be unquestionably praised (for £3,000 an episode). He has form too, he went on Syrian television in 2005 praising al-Assad's despotic regime, and he took frequent tours of Iraq after Golf War I praising (the mass murderer) Saddam Hussain. He was also a big fan of the Soviet Union and an apologist for Stalin. A liberal is not some blinkered **** who can only see the flaws in his own society, but somehow glances over mass murder in the societies he idealises.

You still have not read what I said have you? As for the Isrealis, who said there was anything special about them, who claimed they were above reproach? If he had said the same thing about Pakistanis or Somalians, Nigerians, Palestinians, Scots or the Welsh, he would have in all likelyhood been attacked too.
