I'd like to think Bruce could possibly be in for two midfield players before the transfer deadline if funds allow, Boyd and Meyler don't look capable of making the first 11 to me with this seasons performances and are steadily slipping down the pecking order.
Since the Long deal we've been linked with a lot of strikers but deadline day is fast approaching and I keep flitting between thinking we won't get anyone and believing Bruce has got it under control and we will get a far better replacement. How's everyone else feeling ?
Nervous with regards the striker situation it is so critical we get a pacy finisher something we have been lacking for along time. Defensively we are now sound just looking for a cracking attacking midfielder much better than Koren.
That could play into their hands if he likes Torres. I hope the draw of the Prem sways him here though.
We've already got Hernandez(by the look it), who's quicker than Long, but I still think we need another and if Sagbo goes we need two.
I think we'll use a loan on a striker. Danny Welbeck would be the best I think we could get, maybe a youngster from one of the top clubs.
I hope so, I just don't believe it until it's official, but agree that we need another, I wanted another striker before Long left.
I be very surprised if we sign another striker. However if Sagbo goes he might try and get Kone or someone on loan or maybe Hooper. Any news on Lenihan?

Shame the Hernandez signing hasn't been fully completed would have been great to see him play against villa on Sunday, looks like Monday is going to be a nail biting day.
It may have been done by 5 tonight and he may be unveiled tomorrow. I don't think he will be, but it's possible.
My pet hate is forum posters who say we don't need a new player in a certain position because we already have someone else who can play that position. Which is utter bull****. We need strength in depth and not a make shift team of 'it will do's'. We desperately need a striker and an attacking midfielder or combative midfielder . That is not an opinion. It is a fact. Proven by the players we are linked with currently. And saying we have 'aluko' who can play here or 'sagbo' who can play here shows a complete lack of knowledge in terms of our competition and how many games we have to play.
People are saying that we don't need that player because he is similar because some positions are a priority. Like with the Bosnian and Hudd situation. Yeah, it'd be great to have 20 players similar to Hudd, but before we have 20 of one type of player, we need to strengthen other areas of the midfield. We need a player lie Livermore to compliment Hudd and now we need a ball winning midfielder to compliment them both. So instead of getting your knickers in a twist about your 'pet hate' and claiming people have a lack of knowledge. Maybe take a look in the mirror and question your superior knowledge.
Too many players can be a massive problem as some of them won't get games. We should play Quinn instead of getting a replacement for Snodgrass. My pet hate is forum posters who bitch and complain about players if they have one bad game, and demand a replacement be brought in straight away. We're no longer in the Europa League and we have a lot of players who all want to play.
