It's a great song and a perfect anthem, the only thing that needs changing is the word 'caravan' and not transit van either, we're not gypsy are we?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_TMUJIWwyI maybe we can change the lyrics to "happy hour and a half" nah the lyrics are too complex. everyone knows "stand up"
1. It was a **** edit! Launching straight into the chorus was crap, just killed it dead! 2. Timing all wrong. Maybe played just before the introducing the stands would be better with it played from the start to the song to the first chorus to build up an atmosphere 3. Get it sung at Villa, it'll catch on at home
maybe we can change it to BMW or Roller would that sound better? a caravan isnt just one of those gypo houses... a caravan is a movement of people, eg. a camel caravan carrying arabs in Saharan desert.
What it needs is for the North to sing it, then the East but then for the North to wait and allow the South to join in and eventually we might get enough of the West to give it a go, so we can get it going right around the stadium. I think that would sound really good, although I appreciate it might take a few attempts before the South and West catch on to what's expected.
Thought this as well.... Every woman every man Join the City fans of Hull Stand up stand up Stand up Everybody take a stand Join the City fans of Hull City City City or something like that
Wise men is a bit MEH in my opinion , Caravan could and should work but as pointed out , it need to be nurtured and not massive results expected from one half baked airing .
maybe if everyone learned the words and just sung it without the backing music to prompt people to sing it. Westaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam don't have "Im forever blowing bubbles" playing to prompt them to sing.
The edit was pathetic. Forcing a song like last night is counter productive. Play the full version just prior to the players coming out. Many would sing along and I think it would create an immense sound as the players enter the pitch. The club must run with this because it definitely has potential.
just sing the song without prompting. mind you I bet some nomark will play it from a different point just to interupt the singing cos he can.
Better than caravan, how about: "Every woman, everyman, cheering on we're city til we die" lol if only it rhymed We're proud to stand up for Hull, stand up, stand up, stand up cheering on our boys in Hull sing aloud for Hull supporters til we die, com'on Hull That sort of thing maybe?? Yeah I know, but I see it as a Gypo Caravan
Yeah I know, but I see it as a Gypo Caravan
well that's your own small mindedness then <shrug>
well that's your own small mindedness then <shrug>
No my minds massive, there's just f all in it. I can just see if we start singing the word caravan it gives other teams fans the opportunity to use it against us that's all
West Ham sing about blowing bubbles and women in Stoke sing Delilah, including the line about putting their nob in her hand...we're not the greatest team the world has ever seen and despite their claim, the away fans have never seen me sneaking out.
This. The edit was poor, the song just needs to be played normally and leave the fans to sort it's adoption.
Heroes by David Bowie would be a much better choice. The Hull link is a bit more subtle but it could work! I found Caravan of Love at the KC to be incredibly cringe worthy and naff if I'm honest!
I'm probably being dim, but what's the Bowie link? Also any song that's not sung properly at a stadium will always sound a bit cringy
