Both Rosberg and Hamilton punished by their team. Probably just a slap on the wrist and told not to crash into each other again.
Fantastic All-Ireland Gaelic Football Semi Final replay between Kerry and Mayo - it's extra-time and still level. I was in France last week for the first game, but it sounds like that was just as good. It's one of those games that even if you know nothing about the sport, you can appreciate the effort and it's a shame that someone has to lose. Shows how fast and furious it is as the ref seems to have a touch of cramp!
Surprised to see both Federer and Djokovic easily beaten in their semis. Maybe a changing of the guard?
I think they said the last time one of the four "majors" had a final which did not include Djokovic, Federer or Nadal was in 2005 - incredible that
BBC report: "Former F1 champion Michael Schumacher has left a Swiss hospital to continue his recovery at home, his manager says. Sabine Kehm said in a statement that he had made "progress", but there was "a long and difficult road ahead". Schumacher suffered a head injury in a skiing accident in France in December last year and was transferred to the Swiss hospital in June. Schumacher's family said in June that he had come out of a medically induced coma to reduce swelling in his brain. Schumacher spent six months at a hospital in France after his accident, before being transferred to the hospital in Lausanne. His family home is in Gland, which is on the shores of Lake Geneva, some 40km (25 miles) from Lausanne." Wish him well.... but looks to be seriously incapacitated...
Another brilliant weekend of Premiership rugby union. As a Wasps fan I'm delighted we closed out a win against Northampton but Saracens are going to take some stopping. Should be a fantastic season.
I will now always follow Saracens as I used to take my lad there a few years back - before that I had Leicester as I was there at Uni and had no previous connexion to any team. Someone I worked with who was really noxious supported Northampton so I am always pleased to see them lose
Tut, Tut, Leo. I used to live in Northants and sometimes when I was in the town would see the fans going along to a match. What a happy and well behaved bunch they were, yet as I have a daughter in Gloucester I would see the fans there as well. Surly and often unpleasant to passers-by they reminded me of West Ham fans in Vicarage Road.
Tend to agree with both those points OFH. The one team I have no time for is Bedford (yes i know!). I went to theior stadium once and the attitude of a significant section of their support was diabolical. I never really liked Saracens due to an unfortunate incident on the pitch when i was playing as a teenager but actually like mixing with their fans who are a decent bunch on the whole.
I am not a big rugby fan and have no understanding of the rules at all so my interest mainly stops at seeing results. In Wales the guy next door was an ex sports reporter in Cambridge and he had a season ticket for the Scarlets who played quite locally - I adopted them as my Welsh team
My dad played it to quite a high standard when i was a kid. As it was the 1970s he didn't really fancy taking me to the football (and was, indeed, reluctant to let anyone else do) so my live fix as a kid was always down at Sudbury watching Wasps.
Excellent response by Hamilton to the cheating at Spa - he has done everything he needed to do - now the Championship is a real race.
